Look... I'm going to play this game, thats the advantage of gamepass but...

Every trailer makes this look shit, the lack of impact is just terrible. I understand its a boss fight, but it's just so... boring... run around house and farm and shoot entire mags into the boss for zero reaction and he just teleports away.

I'm hoping the game plays better than it looks.

Ufff, it looks bad and it feels super old, like if I was watching a mod for Counter Strike or something. I can't believe this is a first party exclusive. Imagine this was the new Naughty Dog game, people would destroy Naughty and Sony. I love my XSX but I expect A LOT more from first party games for any console.

Oh wow so seemless matchmaking is in right if I want to play as in the footage. Ohh..
Anyway get working on that Deathloop × Dishonored game now thanks.

Doesn’t look very exciting here, very generic/by the numbers footage. Feels like something I’ve watched and played a million times before.

Hopefully there’s more to it.

What are those disc like items he is throwing around?

Also why such poor use of his abilities. Can easily get rook to stay in area of effect.

Yikes. Sucks that Arkane felt compelled to make this game. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a full on GAAS title until a couple years ago, and then Microsoft changed course after they purchased Bethesda. Bullet spongy non-responsive AI is egregious in this clip

Yeah it looks down right bad. I'm guessing it's more due to what IGN decided to put out.

It looks so absolutely bland, mediocre, soulless and well, shite that you already know which users are gonna show up to defend such a travesty/Microsoft's "honour"...

Thank God for Forza and Starfield this year 'cause this surely ain't it.

Looks absolutely disgusting.

That environment looks a lot like those from Back4Blood. The gunplay looks pretty heavy and not really fluent.

I bet it still turns into a full on GaaS title. They're just waiting for after release to add the microtransaction shop in that leaked via a screenshot.

In fairness it looks like Arkane forgot to put the game in "videogame journalist" difficulty mode.

I mean, half these people are fucking scrubs who game like they haven't held a controller in 4 years.

Shocked What Is It GIF

And THAT is supposed to be a big title from Microsoft this year ?

That absolutely sucks and looks mediocre at best, from intrigued by this game to no more interest in 1 shot. Arkane is really a shadow of the past, give us Dishonored 3 instead.

I hope they have others games for this year because Starfield, available on PC, is not gonna be enough for a good 2023 year, it's so poor so far.

I think xbox engagement will be good but they will not be shifting many units with this game especially at the new $70. They'll add microtransactions down the line and we'll be hearing about small content drops and how it's actually good to give it a chance.

The video didn’t do the game any favours and the cut outs to IGN red squares were odd. Just as the boss arrives and some possible excitement might have happened the video keeps cutting the footage to red squares. Not sure if that's due to getting rid of janky gameplay footage or the player dying .

Absolutely wild people are dogging the game based on CLEARLY poor gameplay by IGN. Like really? And the fight seemed to go longer than it needed because they CLEARLY missed their first chance to kill the boss somehow around two minutes in - dicking around or just generally not knowing what to do.

I am getting the game despite having reservations, but folks need to be consistent with how they're judging things. Like IGN can't NOW be this great gaming site that covers games the way they are meant to now that they've put out a video that makes a game you're not looking forward to look bad.

. . .and honestly, despite IGN's absolute lack of engagement with any of the games systems (you'll note the boss ALSO adheres to awareness rules as normal NPC's. . .which they don't use at all), this looked like wonderful chaos to me.

Every trailer makes this look shit, the lack of impact is just terrible. I understand its a boss fight, but it's just so... boring... run around house and farm and shoot entire mags into the boss for zero reaction and he just teleports away.

Guns may not be instagibbing people in this but all the previews said they were weighty; judging this based on a boss fight and not the other media put out is silly.

That is the characters teleport. . .that IGN apparently has no interest in using for either repositioning or co-op partner assistance.
