Isn't he the hands in front of his head when an attractive woman appeared on the screen guy

Stop. Like PK is absolutely annoying and performative, but that isn't relevant when someone with kids in a niche market they probably should've prepared for, gets the boot. Losing a job when you're older and taking care of a family aint a fun experience.

Not to throw salt in their wound. I didn’t read their stuff. It felt too much like an agenda driven site than a video game news site. It’s a finger pointing contest with people who have worked in the gaming journalist industry for X+ amount of years. Hopefully their families will survive this.

Should be noted this is a guy who would cancel, fire, and imprison everyone who has ever posted on post-exodus Neogaf if given the chance. Guy is as far alt left as a REEE mod. No reason to feel bad or defend him though, he'll have no problem landing another 6 figure job at some other tech media outlet. They always fail upward.

At first, I oddly felt a little weird taking things. The station was designated as a shelter during the zombie outbreak. There are cots and bloody sheets, IV stands, boxes of food and medical supplies everywhere. Early on, protagonists Claire and Leon hear a radio message instructing all citizens to head for the station. That notion is wild, the police station as fortress/safe haven is laughably naive (particularly for people of color). It certainly was in the 90s as well, and really, when has policing in America ever actually been about keeping neighborhoods safe as opposed to keeping a racist status quo up and running? Though the game does later connect the upper echelons of the police management with the evil, shady doings of the Umbrella corporation (whose decidedly unethical bioweapons research started the whole zombie apocalypse in the first place).

Not even a big fan of cops but good grief, shit like that is just laughably bad. It's like something from a first year undergrad writing for the school paper.

As someone with three kids who has swallowed absolute career shit in order to provide for them, he could always stop writing about video games for a living and do what 99% of the workforce do.

Only thing I ever remember coming out of vice was the trip to North Korea. That was pretty neat.
Vice got big by being a site full of people who went to crazy places and did crazy things. They also encapsulated the hipster ethos of late 00s Brooklyn (when and where they started) and reflected that culture. Then, somewhere along the way, they turned into a more political SJW Bustle for reasons I still do not know. It's been worthless for a long time.

Sucks when people lose their jobs but I'm honestly surprised it was around for as long as it was. A "gaming news site where the twist is that everyone is a progressive leftist" is like saying it's a "gaming news site where the twist is that they cover games." It's not like every major gaming outlet left standing isn't full of dissection of developers and new releases from a lefty lense. I don't think they actually carved out the niche they thought they had.

I liked Austin when he was with Giant Bomb, and I feel for their families impacted by this. I wish nobody ill will.
