StellarBlade, Little Devil Inside, Dragon's Dogma 2, Dragon Quest XII and Persona 3 Remake are all I want to see, on a PC of course. Make it happen Sony, and by make it happen, I mean don't do a disservice to other platforms' user bases by paying for exclusivity on third-party titles just to punish us for not buying a Playstation 5. The PS4 is my last console and there's nothing your boys over in California Playstation can do to change that. Although, Nintendo's next console might make me break that vow, if it's a substantial upgrade compared to the Switch of course.

PS5 Pro isn't coming out til next year. Doubt they announce something that would stunt their sales for over a year.
Not sure they'll even announce PS5 Slim unless it's ready to release within the next month, which it might be.

I could see them shadow dropping Twisted Metal F2P.
The show is supposed to come out late July, so if the game is ready, it would be a boon to release something during the showcase.

Please, a new franchise that doesn’t have white/yellow paint to indicate the brainlets where they can jump/grab a ledge. And stop with cinematic shit for a single fucking minute Sony. Maybe even not third person action?
Peoples want graphics and cinematic experiences for epeen wars. I want old PSX and PS2 Sony with diverse lineup.

True. A sequel would be the better outcome but I think its still to far out. So a remake which can be done in two or three years maximum will stave off the blood moon for a while.

Very true. And we may very well get one.
But it's also equally true that if GTA 6 is part of the Showcase then it's going to dwarf almost every other game that Sony shows, so Sony might want to skip it.
However, a brief non-gameplay, just a title-card-announcement teaser will, I think, benefit both Rockstar and Sony. More gameplay can be shown later when Sony's games have had the limelight.

Unless it's a shooter, first-person games are usually archaic and a representation of hardware and resources limitation that games used to deal with years ago.
You get to cut a lot of animations. Devs used first-person modes to bypass a lot of the issues that usually stemmed from limitations. Third-person POV (for most games) is just the natural step of gaming evolution.
Same goes for turn-based combat. It stemmed from technological, financial, and human resources limitations. Now that those problems are no more for big AAA publishers, we are seeing less and less of them. Final Fantasy XVI is a good recent example.

Pretty much guaranteed. That's how Sony's shows usually are.
Jim Ryan or Hermen Hulst may appear on the screen but will fuck off in less than a minute or two. It's then all games after games after games.

Even though I love some of Sonys big cinematic blockbuster games, I would love for them to go back doing weird and quirkier games. Things like Tearaway, Puppeteer, Gravity Rush, Concrete Genie... hell, even stuff like Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian are absent nowadays. But now, it's all about the big and bombastic. Astros Playroom was a cool gem so I hope at least Team Asobi does something innovative for their next outing. I think Xbox have been better recently putting out smaller experiences, such as HiFi Rush, Pentiment, Ori 1 & 2 etc.

I an actually kind of pissed off they are shoving indies and psvr2 in here. Those already had plenty of showcases. For fucks sake, how hard it just too focus purely on 1st and 3rd party stuff??? We had a PSVR2 and indie showcase like a few months ago. Fucking waste of time.

ya i def agree. This is likely a games only show, it would kinda shock me to see any hardware here.
The only thing we might see, its a long shot, is a trailer to close out the show that says something like "captured on future PS hardware" that looks amazing. but i doubt.

Lol every single time. Please for once GAF temper your expectations. These shows never have what most of you want. It'll probably be factions, Spiderman 2, and a bunch of other stuff the majority of you won't care about. Then you'll all say it was the worst showcase they've ever had and blah blah blah. It happens literally every single time.

2020 and 2021 PS showcases were great...and were mostly crossgen titles.
I don't imagine this one failing in any way tbh.

I rather have a show of just indies for PS5 and PSVR2.

I dont know about other people, but to me, I see FP games as a cop-out of sorts. To me, the cool in games is not just that I get to do stuff, but that I also get to see how good I look doing them. the FP perspective takes one-half of that equation away unless it's an FPS shooter.
And as long as they offer good gameplay and design, I have absolutely no qualms with the cinematic shit. If anything, that is the reason why I am drawn to the platform. It's good to see that they take this shit seriously.
