Diablo IV |OT| Blessed Mother... Save Us

I got kicked out with an error message and now i have a queque of 10 min on ps5\europe, the game was lagging like a motherfucker.

Not good blizzard.

Just pops up with another error code when I get through the queue (twice now) and the timer just grows every try. The character servers are probably down.

Edit: message just popped:

RIP servers

Got past the queue but then it said there was an issue logging in and closed the game again lol

Edit: Guess it's finally time to boot up SF6 in the meantime

Great experience. First I couldn't redeem the damn game because Nvidias servers were offline, now I finally get it working and start playing when Blizzard decides to throw me some surprise buttsex and kicking me out of their crapshit excuse of a game. The fuck is this?

I got kicked out again aswell but no error message, just another 10 min queue.

If blizzard is trying to make me watch the cringeshow of dorito boy, it's not working at all.

I can't log in either.

I think it's a physiological trick. I was kind of bored last time I played. Now, it won't let me log in and it's making me want to play more.

My last try I got to the end of the queue, then it changed to ~21 minutes 🙄

Edit: just went up another 3 minutes, people are cutting in line dammit lol

well, also got kicked out, but whatever, was time to get ready for bed anyways!

Third night and I hit level 37, taking it slow compared to some people here, but really enjoying it so far! Played co-op with two friends for the first time tonight and that makes the game a whole lot more fun than alone. Also, playing it with an Xbox controller is infinitely better than keyboard and mouse. Not sure how long I'll keep playing this game after the campaign but for now it's pretty darn good :)

I'm still in, but it's laggy as hell. I was wondering why you guys suddenly vanished
Yeah, I will try to get back in an hour. Doing some chores around the house while servers are crap. Do you want to try some Ancient Nightmare dungeons later? Hopefully it will go better than when I was level 61.

Sounds good. I want to level up my "Exploit" glyph. +vulnerable damage is just too good because it's in a multiplier by itself.

Well can't complain too much about the outage, got a couple hours in already in the morning. I'm at lvl 34 and still in Act 1 so I should really get a move on, but I keep getting distracted!

I have a question, but it's a bit vague, when i reached level 25 (i think) in the corner of the screen i think there was an alert message about unlocking something legendary, i didn't readed because i was in the middle of combat, at that moment i thought it was the game telling me that legendary level loot was unlocked and i could find it, was that it?

And do i need to do something in particular to actually unlock legendary loot like beating a boss or a quest? (no legendaries after 2 level)

Thanks.

Just fired it up for the first time and I've got five-minute queues to log in and log-in errors...

How does this shit happen after multiple betas?

You just happened to log in at an unlikely time. It's actually been surprisingly smooth until the past hour or so.

Nah it's just RNG but in my experience you do start seeing more legendaries the higher level you get. My daughter's Necro is 21 and she only has one, my 34 Sorc has like 5 at this point.

I'm in the same boat - might be a couple levels higher. I didn't even realize how much more game was left until someone expressed surprise at my level in relation to story progress.

I would not be shocked if word of mouth keeps leading to sales and unexpected server loads. There's something about this one that really resonates with people, myself included.

There’s a few guaranteed legendaries through the campaign, but other than that it’s just random although bosses and the reward chests for events seem to have higher drop rates. Also the merchants for that purple currency (the one with the bag for a map marker) seems to be about a 1/3 chance for a legendary.

You can also make legendaries by imprinting aspects.

It's been a long day, and the reward for being a trouper is a login error..

..So now I'm being forced to play one of the billions of other great games I haven't started or finished yet. Life isn't fair!

I uploaded this capture of a nightmare run I just did with my lvl 60 werebear druid (that just got his 2nd unique for pulverize build) to give ppl an impression of an endgame dungeon, and maybe take away some of the misconceptions that you don't feel powerful in Diablo IV and that lvl scaling is the root of all (prime) evil.
This is a tier 14 nightmare with mobs at lvl 67. Some groups have the beefy modifiers like extra HP and vampiric.

So what was that message at level 25? i guess something unrelated to loot...

Servers dead.
But does any one else experience delay when casting skills? For my whole gamplay it's deleayed, many times I need to repeat the skill to register. And it's basically constant all the time. Also my connection is solid 1 Gbps.

Possibly a reward or title unlock if you've been completing areas?

Great video of Asmon analyzing Ziz's evaluation of level scaling, especially how it pertains to late game. TLDR - It's not so bad up until level 80ish because it's fairly easy to get gear upgrades that improve your character's power. However, at very high levels, it's hard to find new gear that significantly improves your power, and marginal increases in paragon board nodes doesn't cut it. In those cases, level 70 characters are effectively stronger than level 90 characters. This is an issue that only affects top players right now, but once the more causal crowd levels up, they will start to feel it too.

I've gone full bear mode and got the unique wolf chest tonight. Gutted. I'm glad there's a pulverize one though!

Edit: Also, why is there no taunt for bear boi? Travesty.

Is anyone playing a rogue? I've gone for a rogue with a poison-type build. Currently level 28 at the moment and having lots of fun.
I am running this guys first build and shit just blows up

I was farming 3 elites 3 levels above me at a time and just not even getting close to dying and that build made the campaign laughably easy after struggling with my Barb

I love the speed aspect of the Rogue as well

The only thing I don’t get is if the servers are down and no one can get in, why leave up the login queue? Just replace it with a message saying it’s down till it’s fixed.
