That SEGA DVD must be short, and full of shots of grave yards.

Edit: Famitsu predicting the death of Nintendo video game consoles with that "1983-2011" thing.

Curse that $50 shipping..

I think I may have that Download code from my ps3 version of portal 2 if the offer is still on the table..

I'm going to get an exact rate for shipping when the post office opens. If the first PM applicant doesn't come through, I may take you up on the code, but could probably also do the cash equivalent.

That sucks, they should have started with Nintendo's pre-Famicom game consoles if they wanted to be complete, even if they were only Atari-quality.

See, even Famitsu thinks Nintendo is doomed, chronicling the life and death of Nintendo as a video game company :p

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
Ok, that bookwalker ibook isn't DRM free i guess? It's part of a Japanese proprietary iPhone app? I can't figure out how to pull up a price or put it in a cart.

Ugh wanted to buy the Book Walker eBook, but it seems I need to do it on my phone. Can't download the app in the US market :/

Edit: Even the cart is greyed out :/

I tried buying from the iPhone app....but I guess I need to buy a Japanese iTunes card.

I'm not sure it's worth the hassle, can I even read this file on a PC?

I picked this up...they have full page for some games like Metroid, SMB, but most take up like 1/8th of a page and very little information besides a short blurb with some screens. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I wouldn't pay $50 for it unless you plan to wrap it in plastic and throw it in a safe...

They sell books that have information about retro games/history, there is even a series of DVDs that goes into great detail and interviews with companies : see

I heard good things about those, of course there are Game Center CX DVDs too.

seems like the $50 would be better spent on the book I posted earlier, which focuses on the Famicom but has english descriptions along with japanese for 1st and 3rd party games, along with hardware and accessories. not sure where you can buy it though. prices fluctuate.

I bought my ebook copy on Book Walker on Thursday. Much cheaper than having to hunt for a hard copy.

Yeah I live in Tokyo so I only paid five bucks...it is neat but not worth anything near more than ten bucks maybe in long run, that said if they did the same for Sega I might have paid out my nose for one

Funny to see them attempt to include Virtual Boy screens, they are almost pitch black

Is there any way to view it without an iPhone/iPad? Or is there a pc client too?

It's available for Android too.

You can use an Android emulator (like Bluestacks) for Windows, but you'll need to tweak it a bit (specifically, you'll need to increase the virtual SD card size). You'll also need to circumvent the region lock to download the Book Walker apk.

Uh, trying to order it from NCSX, but their cheapest shipping option is $33 (I'm all the way up in Norway, but this is just a magazine, for chrissakes). Anyone willing to help me get it cheaper?

Game Boy Pocket and Light didn't make it either, but technically they're just revisions of the old GB anyway.

The Motorcycle That Wouldn't Slow Down
Yup. Mind you that in every case it's just the original promo photos organize on a page.

This thing isn't that amazing IMO. It's a cute little nostalgia trip when you flip through it, but I don't think most educated Nintendo fans are really going to care about it beyond that. The cover photo is the most glamorous thing about it. I do like how they open each system with a few dedicated articles on its key games (Mother 3 and Rhythm Heaven for GBA for example), but don't expect some Hyrule Historia-level blowout. I guess it's good it's a magazine supplement, then.
