It's sad that i think this is NOA's way of proving that they shouldn't release core games in the US and won't attempt to market it
They probably just made a deal with Tecmo to release a certain number of their games in exchange for them working on Pokemon x Nobunaga or Other M or whatever, in the same way they did with Enix in exchange for DQ9/10 exclusivity. I mean, they didn't really think Fortune Street was gonna sell, but they were obliged to release it, so out it came.
That's not to say that this particular game doesn't look interesting, though. Where's my PAL announcement, NOE?

Great, now I'm going to have to take something called "Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir" up to the counter.
Perhaps it's also targeting younger/casuals that like Layton/Wright/Lautrec/Another Code who may think it's a more macabre adventure novel type thing in the light of those, hence 'the cursed memoir'. Also, Fatal Frame is a bit too semantically jaunty? Intimidating?

You need the booklet for the game. Atleast I wouldn't purchase such a downloadable game if I had to see the bother of printing images myself.

There is no way Europe wouldn't get it too. I think all regions will probably get it, but they might wait a few months so they can release it during Halloween there, that's my guess anyway.

Oh so it's just an educated guess at this point... well I'll reserve my enthusiasm for now then.
Retail and the whole point of the game is using the included booklet, along the 3DS camera to find things.

This absolutely a Day One purchase for me! (It is released 3 days after my birthday....) Now, I hope this sells very well, so Tecmo can see how well an HD Remake of Fatal Frame 1, 2, and 3 would do in NA.

I think...FF2R is going to be a 3DS / Wii U release, at this point. It's a lot of time we aren't hearing anything about it, and releasing such a niche game on Wii right now basically means killing its potential sales.
