Well I charged it to a Credit card so u bought hot shots and lumines. So happy to join you guys as an owner. I just woke up this mourning and said F it.
I'm so excited, and broke.so very broke now. Wipeout will be next.
Do you need a memory card to have saved games or is there internal memory?
Also, do you need one to use remote play on your PS3?
Most games require a memory card to save, some require one even to boot up, but you can use remote play without one.
I haven't seen anyone else on the net post the problems I have with PSP saves on my Vita. I've moved saves from PSP>PS3>Vita, PSP>PC>Vita, and even tried Micro SDHC PC Adapter>PC>Vita. In Tactics Ogre and Oath of Felghana, my saves show up in the menu system, but when trying to load them I get a message saying my load data is corrupted. For Crush, it says I have no load data. This is all on the launch firmware, I had not tried any PSP saves prior to v1.61. The saves are coming from a 5.50 GEN-D3 CFW PSP, but I don't see why that would effect things. I've already tried everything in the Vita Format/Recovery menu, but there was no change.
Here's Sony support's response:
So much for "PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) specialist."
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I'd hate to lose my progress in my PSP titles, especially the 60+ hours I've spent in Tactics Ogre!
If you have the saves on your PC you just need that and your Vita.
Create a new save on the Vita, then transfer the file from your PC into your Vita save file. It should ask you to overwrite the old save and use the save from your PC.
Or read this instead. I don't know if any of this will help..
I asked in the RPG thread but I'll try here too: is it just not possible to get Phantasy Star Portable 2 on a US Vita? I can't believe Sega would pull some shit like this (yes I can)
As you probably have realized by now, Sega hates money and success.![]()
Is this bundle available in US ? I can't check now.
You can find a lot of opinions in 6½ Years Later: The PSP Appreciation & Software Recommendation Thread. Is there a *definite* PSP game thread? lol
I've seen top 10 PSP game lists, but would really like to see GAF recommended games.
Has there been any confirmation on how much ram the vita os uses?
some mod said it best, wipeout is some black magic shit.
Yeah, they confirmed 256MB is reserved by the OS a little while ago.

I'm missing one more trophy until I get the gold in Welcome Park. Stupid final sliding puzzle. I hate these.
I'm seriously considering buying Gravity Daze on the HK or JP PSN Store because it's still not out in the US. Someone talk me out of it. I don't want to spoil the story (especially when I can't understand the language), but at the same time, I REALLY want to play the game after I downloaded the demo last night.
Is it worth it?
... That is a lot. I wonder if it could be shrunk as drastically as previous OS's given the complexity of the apps and multitasking on Vita.Yeah, they confirmed 256MB is reserved by the OS a little while ago.

I like those kind of puzzles, I had physical versions as a kid. Having a time limit drains the fun away though. I search for trophy tricks very rarely, I like to earn them honestly. But this one I googled. I'm claiming the last one to be impossible without thetrick or atleast plenty of luck.photographing numbers for each panel
Seriously, what a bad move... Something like a Welcome Park should be the most stress free thing ever.
Seriously? That's a lot, damn. No wonder they sprung for 512mb of ram instead of 256.Yeah, they confirmed 256MB is reserved by the OS a little while ago.

I wish games had more than ~384MBs to work with.
(Does operating systems reserve a portion, regardless of size, from the VRAM?)
I don't have the exact numbers (someone else could provide it) but I think the PS3 OS started somewhere between 100-120MBs and was shrunk by almost 50%, give or take a few megs. How much RAM was reserved for PS3 when it launched and how much does it use now?

is DW known to randomly crash or do i just have bad luck?
I went to Wal mart and found my Hori Silicone case, and they even had the Hori pouch ( the one that comes in red, black and blue).
No idea what other version you're referring too but load times are pretty bad, even after the update that supposedly improved them. Are the Wipeout load times any better in the final version?

I think that M3D10N guy was right. He accurately guessed it few months ago (August 2011 actually).... That is a lot.
indeed, wise guy that guy

That needs shaving down.
They better have a lot planned for that amount of RAM. I bet it will be unlocked at a later stage and this is just precautionary similar... *hopes*
How fast are the vita cards? Because posters on gamefaqs and Sonys boards are claiming they are only 4-6mb/s!
Here is a post from the Sony boards by Wikiality
"When the prices and proprietary nature of the vita memory cards were announced, people comforted themselves thinking that they must have super high read speeds to allow to minimize load times. After all Sony just released a proprietary card for cameras with a 60mb/s read speed.
Instead tests show that the vita memory cards have the read speed of a measily 4mb/s!!! Why?
Sonys game carts have a higher but still low read speed of 6 mb/s. This is why Wipeout has such atrociously load times and this is why it's loadtimes are even longer for the digital version of the game rather than the cart.
That was a stupid move by Sony. Loadtimes are the death of portable gaming, they hurt the psp and will hurt the Vita.
For such a high price, their memory cards should atleast be 20 MBs/s. This would encourage sales of digital games which is good for Sony. Digital games have much higher profit margins than retail games. This is also why they should sell the cards for cheaper. Many gamers including I considered buying a 32gb card and going all digital since it's more convenient but were discouraged from doing so due to the high prices of the cards. People that were considering big cards were doing so because they wanted to make lots of digital purchases.
Fortunately Sony can still fix this. Release higher speed cards ASAP and lower the price Sony."

Yeah, I think you've hit the nail on the head with that one.On another note, I don't think Vita would have 512MB if not for the OS. I'm not sure it's a case of 'we could have had more RAM for games otherwise'. If the OS goals didn't require it, they probably would have gone for a smaller amount of total RAM - you'd probably still have had 256MB for games.
