Same as above. I just bought Everybody's Golf. I already started playing my first single player round and I'm doing alright for it being the first time I think. I'm 2 under the par on my 4th hole and on first position. I know a bunch of you guys would be way higher, but hey... it's my first time!.

In fact, it's my first time playing this series. The only golf game I have ever played was Pangya back whatever many years ago. This game seems to be kinda close to it, but I wish this game also went the extra mile with the stylish characters and made them more like in Pangya. Also wish there was a character editor to play as your own player and not one of the presets.

Otherwise I'm really enjoying this game. Hopefully I get to know more about the online soon and can play with a bunch of you guys :)

What level do you guys leave your brightness on?

I have mine at around 50%, not much difference from the original setting of around 75%.

i've posted a question before but this thread is moving way to fast and never got an answer. I own a pair of bluetooth headphones from rocket fish that work perfect with my iPhone and iPad, but when I used them with my Vita, I have like a one second delay. Anybody knows of a way to fix this problem?

I am the 21%. Are the 79% going to camp outside an historic monument? :P

Just backed up my Vita from its 8GB card, formatted and now restoring to the 32GB.

"Not fast" is the most polite way of putting it.

Lol. It seems like a very large proportion of people are buying the 3G, maybe because of the bundle?

First up,

Anyone know if Peace Walker Transfaring works with Vita?

Also,

When they do eventually add PSOne support, do you think we'll actually get true analog? Not just mapping D-Pad movement?

Transfarring doesn't work with the Vita at the moment. Basically if you want to play the game moving between the Vita and the PS3, you'll need a PSP. It's what I'm doing at the moment and it's a relatively painless process, you just need to transfer the Vita save to the PS3 and then move that save onto the PSP, then load up Peace Walker and transfer the save back onto the PS3 via the transfarring option.

Posted in Buy, sell trade thread as well.

Willing to trade here my SEALED copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus for the Vita for a copy of Uncharted Golden Abyss. Preferably sealed.

PM me.

Almost a week after the launch I'm actually very satisfied with both the hardware and software. But it isn't perfect.

Operating system

New feature: Add a ability to group applications to folders.

PlayStation Network
Improvement: Automatically sing into PlayStation Network once when you start up your device. It shouldn’t be necessary to sign in every time you want to do action in friends or group messaging.

Improvement: Update the profile card with unlocked trophies from your Vita system.
Improvement: Friends should be able to see me online when I'm playing the Vita.
Improvement: Friends should be able to see which game I’m playing on Vita.

Sometimes it's just easier. Many evenings I could walk upstairs to my console setup but I'd rather curl up on the sofa with the missus and the PSP. I still get my gaming fix but I also get to spend a little 'passive' time with the missus. Plus, she can fetch the brews.

Bed is the other place I play a whole lot of PSP (and soon, Vita).

Outside the house, my iPhone is the gaming device of choice. Although the Vita / PSP / 3DS are handheld, I don't find them portable.

I always have a ruck sack with me, so the Vita is stashed in there. As a gaming device I think it absolutely smokes any of the smartphones or tablets though...the games are better and the controls are not comprimised. Still its too much of a bulge for the pocket

Fucking Vita. I ended up going to bed a 5:30 am last night. Blaz Blue is like crack, even if I totally suck at it.

The tutorials should be better though. You can only practice combos in the challenge of each character, but once you get it, you complete said challenge and move on to the next. I need a lot more than getting it right once for it to stick in my mind. VT5's tutorials were much better IMO.

Story mode is interesting, but the fact that you can't save anywhere and the saves are fairly spaced apart sucks. Sure you can put the Vita to sleep and continue from where you left off, but sometimes you wanna mix it up and play something else. Abyss mode does it right where you can quick save after every fight.

Also I'm pretty sure the Vita is giving me headaches. Which is weird considering neither my iPhone nor iPad do that.

After spending the last week with the Vita - it's easily the best handheld launch since the original GB for me.

Been playing Virtua Tennis, Blazblue, Wipeout, HS Golf, Stardust, and Lumines - and I'm loving each one.

Wipeout's load times are a little bit of a bummer, but I can deal with it easily.

Biggest surprise for me has to be Virtua Tennis - the career mode is awesome.

Lumines is, of course, awesome. The Avatar feature is cool, and the soundtracks is amazing so far.

Playing Blazblue on this screen is great - probably the system's showcase game for me.

Only real complaint is some of my games aren't up on PSN:
Where is my Where is my Heart? (Sorry, I just had to...)

Can't believe how impressed I am with this system.

Well Uncharted debuted at number 1 on the UK charts:

Eurogamer.net ‏ @eurogamer

PlayStation Vita game Uncharted: Golden Abyss is no. 1 in the UK charts, Syndicate enters seventh. Full list to follow.

edit: apprently old news, sorry. :p

Fifa career mode (as an individual player ) is making me obsessed with playing Fifa. I can't get enough of it. You have enough control of your other players that making 1-2 passes and making a run is brilliant. I've scored some beautiful goals in this mode that I couldn't do controlling the entire team.

Will Sony release a proper content manager for Vita? Or maybe Media Go is already compatible? I forgot to try it last night.

No, MediaGo isn't Vita compatible. Don't think we know of any plans to allow that kind of thing via a PC/Mac app or browser, but it would be nice at some point (but we've been asking for it since PS store started up so I wouldn't be too optimistic).

Ninja Giaden Sigma Plus is turning into my favorite game. Can't believe I missed out on this game for so long. Hope Ninja Giaden 2 games a ps vita port.

I didn't post here all weekend because I was too busy playing my Vita like my life depended on it. My goodness, this is by far the best launch lineup I have ever experienced on any platform. Finished Mutant Blobs on Friday, finished Uncharted and almost finished WipEout on Saturday/Sunday, and am now working my way through Rayman (which looks so amazing on the Vita's OLED). I might do some detailed impressions on the games I finished in a bit.

Seriously, how do I make 1-2 passes and make my players run forward in FIFA Football?

I think my list looks like this so far:

1. Uncharted: Golden Abyss
2. WipEout 2048
3. Little Deviants
4. Reality Fighters

I just played 9 holes in Everybody's Golf, it's really charming by the way, too bad it's sub native-resolution but I'll live with it, and I'll get Unit 13, MotorStorm RC, FiFA, Escape Plan, Hustle Kings, Top Darts and Super StarDust Delta any moment now.

Forgot I got ModNation Racer lying around as well..

Sigma Plus is definitely my favorite Vita game. I just wish I could unlock more missions, I love do those so much. Sigma 2 on Vita would be nice, but Sigma 2 is no where near as good as 1.

OMG... Today's PA. Titled "Further Deviations"

Any update on the news of a possible bundle deal for Vita/PS3 version of MLB The Show 12? Given that we are just a little over a week away from release, I have a suspicion that the deal will be a discount for the digital Vita version if you buy PS3 version.

Been considering this as my next game... would love to hear impressions on gameplay/difficulty ...is it really as hard as they say (or cheap)... videos online make it seem like enemies attacking from several angles might be frustrating? I did play NG1 & NG2 once but only briefly... and the DS version quite a bit, which i liked... would i like Sigma Plus do u think?

The Vita doesn't accept the default iPhone hotspot name (if you have an iPhone called "Name's iPhone" anyway) because of invalid characters, need to change the name of the phone in iTunes later. Shitty Vodafone reception at my work, the sooner that 300MB is gone the better!

The difficlulty on the vita is less then it was on the PS3 for sure. The enemies drop more health now, plus they added a new item type which helps out. The combat also feels just a hair slower, but maybe that is my imagination. The only thing frustrating about the game is shooting arrows. Even if you turn off touch aiming, and you need to because it is so bad, it still uses the gyro for aiming with the left stick and it makes it super hard to get off precise shots. Hopefully they will patch that soon.

I'm pretty underwhelmed so far.

Got a question, for all those updates and patches for all the games, do those updates have to stay on my memory card or can I delete them?

You've never played it?! Oh man, buy it immediately!

Yes, it is challenging, but there is a hero mode available at the start which maintains the same level of enemy aggression with a couple bonuses to keep you alive longer.

The controls are great, camera isn't bad in 16:9, and the game is just incredible. While very focused on action, the game actually ends up delivering just a wee bit of Metroid with its progression system. Once you reach the city, you'll spend the rest of the game moving around different locations using the city as a central hub. Places that you saw earlier can be accessed later often with changes. There are temples, a fire dungeon, ice dungeon, a monastery, and various other places to visit sometimes with light puzzle work (usually in the form of locating items and placing them in order to open up paths). It's simple but it gives the impression of a large adventure. With the absolutely incredible combat mixed in you're left with one hell of a game. Ninja Gaiden was, without a doubt, one of the very best games created for XBOX and is excellent on Vita.

I can't recommend it enough.

Just loaded it up before I had to get back to work

Holy shit! It may not be 60fps, but DAT IMAGE IS CLEAN!

My biggest wish (after folders) is that it didn't install a bubble for each retail card game. There's no need for me to see bubbles for game cards I don't have inserted. Keep that shit in the background and only show me the card I have inserted.
Really eh... was Sony afraid we'd forget what games we owned physical copies of? Not only does it leave a mess of game bubbles on the page I have to manage (I grabbed nine physical titles at launch because I have too much money and am overly susceptible to handheld hype - especially from Sony), but I forget what I have in the system and either try launching a bubble only to get the "insert game card" prompt, or have to pull out the card to see what's in my Vita... both problems are insta-solved if they just do the reasonable thing and hide the game bubbles when the game card is not in the system...

I finished about half of the game on PS3 before I gave up. The frustration came not from the difficulty, I like a challenge and wasn't having much trouble progressing, but how annoying the game system was. Way too much time wasted in screens and loading between retries and the saving system was stupid.

It was easy to miss save spots. I went through a big chunk of a level and accidently stumbled upon a save spot, which was rather hidden, if I hadn't I would have walked straight into a boss battle and would have had to do everything all over again had I died on it, which I did, since there are no checkpoints. And I don't know if I missed it but I didn't see an option to save after finishing a chapter, so one time I had to redo the previous chapter because I accidently fell off a ledge right at the start of the new chapter without finding a saving spot.

My biggest gripe is the lack of checkpoints, if I fail at an area I want to retry that specific part right away (be it a boss fight or whatever), I don't want to redo everything since the save spot again. This for me is very important in this genre. God Hand got it right, Bayonetta got it right.
