i hope so for your sake, but a mobile phone warranty from best buy is usually a nightmare and exercise in frustration... i have nightmares just thinking about my experience. All of their plans you get through best buy mobile require you to send your phone in

Hmmm, should be interesting to see what happens when I try. It is "defective". Guess it depends on the mobile manager at the time as well.

You have a 2nd gen WP device already though. What will the 900 do that your current phone doesn't? Seems like a waste IMO to upgrade to the 900 verses holding out till Fall. Heck your Titan isn't even a year old yet is it?

It doesn't do anything that my Titan doesn't. The one thing I'm not liking much on my Titan is the signal strength. The reasons I would want the 900 are aesthetic, and Nokia apps. Thats really it. I'll probably end up waiting for whatever Nokia Apollo phone later this year.

After Flux, Wonder Reader, Fuse, Pulse, gReadi and a few others - I gave up the hopes for a real good google reader app :/

Either the Live Tile is not working correctly, the app is slow, or the readability is crappy.

Are there any mac and WP7 users in here that can reassure me?

Ideally, i'd like my calendars/contacts, etc, synced between phone and macbook, plus wireless itunes sync is nice. icloud would fit the bill...but I dont want a damn iphone, it doesnt excite me like the Lumia.

Perhaps I can just use the google suite on my mac and phone to keep synchronisation?

Not sure on contacts but Ical calendars aren't supported so you'd probably need to use a 3rd party ala google to Sync that but it'd work both ways.

As to iTunes? I doubt that anything but an iPhone would sync with iTunes, but maybe someone else has experience, but I'd imagine only iOS devices work with iCloud.

I have a Mac. You can bring over your nondrm music from iTunes and photos from iPhoto. Best way to sync contacts is Exchange or Google, but you can also sync with your Live account.

Still, I only use Spotify for music, it's superior.

Just tried out the new app, Weather Flow, from the same guys that did App Flow and Cocktail Flow. There are a few apps I'm fairly particular about. One is needing a great twitter app, the other, especially with the ability for Live Tiles, is a great weather app. I've used Weather Live for about a year now, mostly because it had a distinct metro design and a nice time stamped live tile. Weather Flow's live tile? Best I've seen across the platform, plus just great app design, looks fantastic. What's not fantastic? The trial allows only 4 times you can open the app. Stupid. App costs $1.99 otherwise, so take your time perusing the app if you trial it. Personally, I switched, very impressed.

i still prefer weathermaster but this new one is really good
It just needs to give more info and the back of the live tile a forecast

The interface does need some more features.... especially a map.

I actually think the best live tile so far is the weather.com app with the back of the live tile being the live weather map. Really surprised somebody hasn't copied that yet.

I love the remote install feature from the web marketplace. <3

Just to be clear, do you mean having the market place link sent to the phone via text/mail, or is there a way where the app is really automatically installed?

I've only used it with email and it's usually easier to just use the market place on the phone (or a qr code)

He means installing an app from the web marketplace and it queues to your phone automatically.

It will be automatically installed.

The Distinction guys know how to design apps. They always look great.

EDIT: Cannot buy it for some reason. Marketplace issue or something.

EDIT 2: Nevermind, just waited a bit and tried again and it worked.

It will be automatically installed.

How do you select that/get that to work on the web market place?

EDIT: found it in the web market place FAQ.

To make this possible, on Start, flick left to the App list, tap Settings, tap Find My Phone, and select Connect to these features faster (may use more battery). Because this option can use more battery power, it's disabled if the phone's Battery Saver feature kicks in.

Should be on by default...

EDIT 2: also, it doesn't tell you that this option makes the automatic install possible. I had of course looked over all options in the settings and didn't think it was really necessary to activate that one.

EDIT 3: it works. nice! maybe I should activate that on my mothers phone so that I can remotely install stuff on her phone :)

All this time I thought it was just a Words with Friends clone and since I have no irl friends with a WP and I don't like playing with randoms, I never downloaded it.

But after that interview and the "play on your schedule, not theirs" and everyone is basically playing against everyone, I'm sold!

I'm really getting annoyed with Adobe Reader. Reading PDFs that require scrolling is surprisingly a pain to do. Is there an alternative app for PDF viewing?

Hold on, friend! I'd love to share with you some swell news about the Windows 8 Metro UI! Wait, where are you going?

My girlfriend wanted a W7P almost exclusively for Wordament. Well, more precisely she was always taking my phone to play it so eventually I had to just buy her her own :p

I'll have to give Fuse another look as I promptly uninstalled it because I dislike the "pulse" interface.

I used the "cloud tag" (ipsum) interface of the three to choose from, and it's pretty novel, but also fast to navigate. Which get's me everytime because it loads the articles so fast and presents it in such a cool way.

I bought Fuse after trying the demo a couple times, I'm happy with the reading experience, but the live tile doesn't update for me at all. I hope that it'll resolve after a day or two.

Weather Flow on the other hand, works perfectly right out of the gate and was an easy purchase for me. exactly the info I want on the live tile and it just works. I just wish it had all the data I like seeing in WeatherLive (maps, cameras, etc...).

VanMardigan

has calmed down a bit.
Accuweather works fine for me. Then again, I'm in the Caribbean, so it's sunny and 90 degrees most of the time. The few times where severe weather happened, the live tile warned me.

I downloaded the trial for Weather Flow and it looks terrific, but I don't believe it supports a GPS location that tracks you yet does it?

I currently use WeatherMaster and it works great for me, although Weather Flow looks nicer I guess. I like being able to pin my GPS location as a live tile and it will follow me as it updates throughout the day (I believe the Live tile location is about 15 minutes behind though). It's fast to load and has been pretty accurate so far. My only gripe is that the satellite map takes longer than I would like to load.

Haha, the rumors already say it will use the Snapdragon S4 so don't keep your fingers crossed. I just hope it isn't 1366x768, 1080p or higher, please.
