I don't buy into any of the conspiracy crap for one second, but as much as I think Dani Alves is a fantastic footballer, he is a bit of a cock, no? It's not hypocritical for him to say that he can't directly control the referees I suppose, but there's no question that he tries his damnedest.

And I'll just preempt all of you and get it out of the way. I know... LUIS SUÀREZ. Okay.

I think Barça will crush Chelsea and it won't come down to refereeing. Just thought his quote was funny. It'll be an entertaining game – no question about that

I hope for good controversyless games this week. Especially the ones featuring Barcelona. I really hope El Clasico goes off without a hitch and both teams play the awesome football we know they are well able to play when they want to. None of this fighting/diving crap.

I think El clasico will be a rough match lots of nasty tackles and probably quite a few fights and the ref being engulfed in a sea of players after every decision.

That's one thing I cannot stand about la liga, and specially Madrid and Barcelona, all the players surrounding the ref, that should be yellow cards for all every time, it would cut it out quick

Arsenal you TWATS. Was it really too much to ask to keep Wigan down for us??? You pick that game to mess up? Thanks , Wenger, thanks sooo much.

Also I wont be around for the Barca game. Please feel free to assume I am throwing abusive hate towards them :) Good luck Chelsea!

LUIS SUA..oh. :p

Nah I wasn't trying to imply you believed the conspiracies or anything. Was implying referee talk has already started, so imagine after the games.

And fact is, Ashley Young, Pepe, Suarez, Alves are cheats, but every team has em. Which ones you choose to see are your choice(not you morsel lol, I am talking to everyone here)

The previous Clasico was very fun to watch with little bullshit. Hopefully we can get that kind of game again.

True, other than the Pepe stuff it was a much better experience.

Eto'o is/was an amazing striker, truly fantastic. He is the kinda player that I think could have joined any team in his prime and done well, killer instinct.
Scored 37 goals for inter the season after Mou left. Incredible, he kept Inter going that season. All his goals that season

CH LEAGUE FINAL

Real Madrid 2
Barcelona 1

Did Madrid end up losing La Liga future boy? :)

Eto'o is an incredible player. The fact that he moved to Russia is one of the bigger tragedies of the modern game. He still has at least 2 more years at the very top level IMO.

So a 17 year old who had done really well for the reserve team at Helsinki (33 goals in 23 matches) got to play for the first team this weekend, in the first match in the Finish league. The result? A hattrick in 2 min and 42 seconds.

Video skipped a bit for me but it looked like it said 2-1 at one point. Did the teams really score 4 times in 3 minutes? Do they keep time differently there? :O

Joel Pohjanpalo has already had a trial at Liverpool and his father is apparently a massive Liverpool fan. He won't leave Finland yet whilst he is still so young but I would imagine Liverpool are in pole position to sign him when he does decide to leave.

Great result for Wigan last night. They pulled out quite the performances lately.

I hope they manage to survive, I think they really deserve it.

There wouldn't be many pro strikers who claimed the matchball on their first team debut

edit: Caught up on the Arselol game

Man, wigans first goal was pure class. It's the kind of thing you expect from Arsenal!

Neymar's changed his haircut to something potentially worse. Anyway, here's him with a nice bit of skill and then one of the softest red cards I have ever seen.

Wat?

Is that usually a red in Brazil or something? Apparently Neymar gets ridiculous protection in the Brazilian league, won't be the same when he comes to Europe.

Never a red card in a billion years. I'd be shot for a red card like that.

The biggest piss off with today is Mikel Arteta's injury. He has become so important that we dont play nearly as well when he is not around. Defensively he is awesome but his distribution controls our midfield. This is a disaster....

Do u mean the brand or totillas in general? The brand im using here is la costeña. Havent seen maseca yet!

Wow, they sell tortillas in Germany? nice.
Nope, I was asking if they sell MASECA over there... Maseca is cornflour(?) to make your own tortillas. I was in Argentina a few years ago and I was unable to find a fucking tortilla. What a nightmare.

Any news about the match in bild, etc? Looks like Kroos, Luiz and Schweini are going to start.

"Agüero's nickname "Kun" which features on his shirt derives from his childhood and was first given to him by his grandparents.[91][92] It came about due to a resemblance to the character "Kun Kun" from Agüero's favourite television programme as a child"

The cartoon is called Kum Kum, actually. "Kum Kum el niño cavernicola" (something like Kum Kum, the caveman kid)

yes REAL tortillas

they sell shit in the supermarket to even make it yourself, and you can of course get the stuff to make them :)

Corn tortillas are the best. Flour tortillas kind of suck.

Carragher is on a roll. The ranking of Dalglish alongside Shankly, Busby, Ferguson, and Clough as managers was pretty fucken obnoxious.

Well, he did have that first spell in charge after all...

If we have the same fate as the Red Sox I'll not be complaining. Our owners got the Red Sox their first penant in some 75 or 80 years...
