They can't broadcast any of the Nintendo events.

My aunt & uncle run a Mom & Pop store, "The Gamecube Hut", and sold 80k WiiU within minutes of opening.
So G4 allowed Nintendo to be put down and made fun of last year now they pay the price..... Touche Ninty Touche...

This may make me come across as a bit obsessive, but I had all of G4's coverage of E3 last year recorded on DVR, and I noticed that they had little coverage of Wii U and 3DS stuff. I had considered going through each of the day's coverage (around 3-5 hours each), and doing a breakdown of how much time they spent on 360/PS3/PC/Wii(U) stuff and putting it all together in chart form. I wouldn't have been surprised if the ratio was 8:1 in favor of non-nintendo stuff.

Other than that gripe, I thought G4 did a really good job with covering the major games, giving each of them an in depth look with insightful interviews with the developers. This year, though, there is no excuse not to give equal air time to Wii U and 3DS, as there will be TONS of new games to talk about from the launch lineup.

I know but he's still gonna be there with game trailers I think that's why I said that.

Wait, he is? When was that announced? I didn't think his association with GT was continuing past the Bonus Round, or am I wrong.

Pretty much what I did last year. DVR'd the whole thing, then watched it and skipped the games that I had little/no interest in. The coverage was fairly comprehensive, although of course Nintendo got short shrift -- it is the G4 audience they're catering to here.

For those games they did cover though, it was pretty well done.

Does Spike do show floor coverage?

btw, I a little worried my DVR won't be big enough to save all of what Spike and G4 broadcast that week. :|

That honestly was the final nail in her coffin, for me. Morgan "Too Old for Cartoony Mario Graphics" Webb.

I don't care what her views are. She's entitled to her own opinions. She still games and is hot as all hell in my opinion. So as long as they keep her around I'm happy.

"Hey... Audience. Are you ready to see the Wii U?"
@_@

Didn't Vigil say they already had that feature running at E3?
Did they? I have no idea. I think I have heard them say several times that it was easy to get the game on the subscreen but even then, that doesn't mean that they will have that in the final version...guess I'll just wait and see.

11 days...

Edit: Thanks for community move. I have been on par with this thread.

I don't care either. That's my point ;P. When she said that, I realized I didn't care what she thinks anymore.

To each their own. For me I do watch anything she does. Same with Alison Haislip. I always had a dream show of her and Alison together just talking about whatever. LMAO

Yes he did. And after E3 so will Kevin. So sad to see what was Tech TV become a shell of itself with almost all of the talent gone except Morgan.
Are we talking about TechTV or WiiU?

If it's Adam (Sessler) he should team up again with Kate Botello for old times sake and create a new video game show. I miss the old Extended Play.

They could probably join Leo (Laporte)'s TWiT crew to add to their coverage. A more balanced view on game companies should be a focus. Heck, I wouldn't mind if they lifted talent directly off 1UP like Jeremy Parish and his crew if it would help keep their views even. Jeremy + Adam team would be the best of both worlds, from a mainstream perspective (Sessler) to an in-depth perspective (Parish).

So, Wii U game announcements under the radar. But why still so much hate for Nintendo?

I'm off the impression she is paid, big, BIG time to do what she does. I wasn't so fond of her reviews back in X-Play, and I'm definitely not fond of them now.

But dammit this thread shouldn't be about Morgan Webb
it should be about Kate Botello
.

Well to be honest I've never cared for any of G4's reviews to be honest. They've always been awful despite who was doing it. I liked Xplay for their interviews and live demos they had which have become a lot less over the years sadly.

If you've never seen TechTV and its heyday I feel sorry for you. I still wish it were around.

Back to Wii U discussion: some games. And then Gearbox vaguely mentioning some special features in Alien:CM other than DRC stuff? Something about "newer tech"?

Oh god I agree. I so hated it when G4 bought Tech TV. Ruined so many great great shows. We're so getting off topic now though. We probably need to get back to the topic of Wii U speculating. lol

Skiesofwonder

Walruses, camels, bears, rabbits, tigers and badgers.
Did they seriously post a picture of The Last of Us with a caption of "pretty sure this isn't coming to Wii-U......"

No shit Sherlock.

BGassasin says "tesselation" is probably one of the more modern functions of WiiU? But what about all the speculation about lighting? I'm more inclined to think it would have some sort of hardware based global illumination. Hopefully this would also mean free self-shadowing objects .

I don't get it, I read the IGN article, nothing outrageous or weird in it. It was stating the obvious, but nothing really wrong. It was stating that the competition has huge games to show off and games are king so Nintendo has its work cut out.

That's always been true. Everyone knows Nintendo has to go big or else it'll be looked at as a disappointment.

I think it's moreso that anyone in this thread could have written it and we are wondering how much this guy knows about what will be there.

He certainly didn't hint at anything.

This is a bit un fair, as TechTV was simply unsustainable. They had a huge operation with nearly a dozen original shows including an all day "news" live broadcast every workday. The writing on the wall was written once the dot on bubble burst and the Internet and tech advertisements revenue contracted. It was too good to last.

but the guy doesn't act like he knows anything does he

just seems like a random pointless article for clickz, but nothing offensive.
