10. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
I hope it's more than an hanck-n-slash, but still lookin' forward to it.
9. Metro: Last Light
couldn't care less, couldn't even finish the first one.
8. Hitman: Absolution
uhm, i'll get this for cheap probably, i enjoyed Conviction, so i'll probably enjoy this too, but not hyped for it.
7. God of War: Ascension
Never really cared for GoW, i'll keep an eye on it, just to see what's it about.
6. Halo 4
Don't have a 360.
5. Resident Evil 6
Yep, looking forward to this one, especially to see if they can pull off the "3 games in one" thing.
4. The Last of Us
Very curious about this, i'm burned on the Uncharted series, so i'm still on the fence about it.
3. Assassin's Creed III
Yeah, probably my most anticipated game this year, again, curious to see if there's enough new meat.
2. Tomb Raider
I want to see some open-world stuff, no more uncharted-like bullshit, PLEASE.
1. Wii U - The Entire Line-up
Not really that curious about it, don't really know why.

Pretty good list afterall, i can't think of much else i'm hyped about anyway.

Just going by what's seen in the video
#10 looks ridiculous.
#9 looks amazing graphically, but not that special otherwise.
#8 would look cool if not for that horrible instincts system. Seeing through walls? :/
#7 is just not my thing.
#6 looks like Halo, not much more to say about it. If you like Halo it's probably good I guess.
#5 doesn't look that special.
#4 is impossible to judge by the video shown.
#3 looks really cool, hopefully the game delivers.
#2 I remember this video from last E3, ultra-linear press A to awesome garbage. Hopefully the rest of the game offers something to actually do to the player.
#1 N/A, looking forward to seeing what they show for the Wii U though.
Isn't the game supposed to be openworld-esque with loot and exploration?

Yeah, plus I believe the what they showed off at the last E3 was the intro area to the game.

Anyways, I guess I'm excited for the Wii U (just to see what Nintendo has up their sleeves) but I'm keeping my expectations low.

I do mostly agree with their list. I'm irrationally excited about RE6, AC3 looks damn good, The Last of Us will probably be GOTS and Tomb Raider is something I have a soft spot for. And, of course, the fucking Wii U.

Metal Gear and Metro over Dishonored? No sir. Fix this shit GT.

Judging by the response to Deus Ex versus its general sales, I kind of feel that GAF is one of the major target markets for a game like Dishonored.

Despite this, of the 15 Dishonored threads we have, almost none exceed 200 posts, and of the three that do, one is primarily a thread about Call of Duty.

For comparison, Insomniac's Facebook game is getting about the same level of reception (or in most cases, more).

Perhaps Bethesda should rethink their marketing approach.

Am I the only one who thinks that Tomb Raider looks like shit? I mean not like "it doesn't look that good" but just looks you know like a shitty game ala Homefront?

Nothing in it looks interesting at all and the gameplay demo from E3 was horrible.

Nothing in it looks interesting at all and the gameplay demo from E3 made it look like shit.

The gameplay from the demo should not be representative of the core gameplay mechanic.
Regardless, i don't think it looks like shit, production values looked quite good, to me.

predict metroid is present. if i am wrong, i will gladly eat crow by making a thread and asking if nintendo is doomed because there was no metroid.

Homefront had good production values. I"m interested in how it plays.

I played through Homefront last year, it did not have good production values. They weren't terrible, but I wouldn't describe them as good either. They were mediocre, like the rest of the game.

Isn't the game supposed to be openworld-esque with loot and exploration?

Yeah, that's why I made it especially clear I was just judging the footage shown.

I brushed up on Homefront and it seemed to have good production values but the gameplay was so horrid I had to turn it off within an hour. Either way I think number 2 is too high for that game.

I'm interested in learning more about six of those ten games. Seems like a good list - can't wait for E3.

Wii U and The Last of Us are easily my #1 and #2, respectively.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
It's always going to be harder to judge the quality of new IPs, plus major site will always be afraid to upset all the fanbases who are looking forward to those sequels. I'm not sure why anyone is surprised new IPs rarely, if ever, make these lists. I think it'd be nice if these sites started doing a "Top 10 Most Promising Looking New Properties" or something like that.

1. Wii U stuff
2. Metal Gear Rising
3. 3DS games
4. RE6 I guess

Don't really care much about anything else. Hopefully we'll see some surprises.

10. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Interested in this, but its had such a rough development cycle that it could be a disaster.
9. Metro: Last Light
Haven't gotten to Metro in my backlog yet, but I love what I've seen so far of the atmosphere and tone.
8. Hitman: Absolution
I hope this game delivers. Hitman Blood Money is a fantastic game, and I've had the itch for one of these for a while.
7. God of War: Ascension
Not too interested in this. While I love GOW, I'm in no way excited for another prequel.
6. Halo 4
Really excited for this one. Looking forward to what 343 has in store.
5. Resident Evil 6
I'm cautiously optimistic. The Leon part of the story seems incredible, but the other two storylines don't appeal to me all that much.
4. The Last of Us
This game is getting some nice buzz so I'm interested to see some gameplay.
3. Assassin's Creed III
My personal most anticipated game of the year. I absolutely love this franchise, and the new setting looks fantastic.
2. Tomb Raider
What we've seen so far just looks like a grittier Uncharted, but if Crystal Dynamics is to be believed, its much more than that. I really hope they show off some of the more open world survival elements.
1. Wii U - The Entire Line-up
Pikmin 3, Retro game, and more. My body is ready.

Wild Card:
HALF LIFE 3 :(

No Bioshock?
I think it was announced that it won't be there.

I'm liking the Tomb Raider choice. There is so much I want to know about that game. Other than the leaked gameplay which was really short we haven't gotten a good look at what the meat of the gameplay will look like from what I understand. And the combat is basically a complete unknown. That and The Last of Us top my list.

Actually...

1. Dust 514 (CCP)
2. Outernauts (EA)
3. Dragon Commander (Larian Studios)
4. Raiderz (Perfect World Entertainment)
5. Eador: Masters of the Broken World (Snowbird Game Studios)
6. Free Realms (SOE)
7. Sleeping Dogs (Square-Enix)
8. Quantum Conundrum (Square-Enix)
9. Heroes of Ruin (Square-Enix)
10. End of Nations (Trion)
11. KickBeat (Zen Studios)

actually...

1:EVE spinoff
3: Divinity spinoff
6: Isnt Free Realms been out a long time?
7: True Crime sequel

The only thing I'm really interested in is the WiiU games. Imagine being able to play a HD Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Wave Race, Pikmin or F-Zero!

The only one I'm super interested to see is Last of Us.

I guess the Wii U lineup could be cool to see. But same could be said for any unannounced games.

I find myself making pre-list checklists for GT countdowns just to see how predictable they are going to be, and with this one, I only omitted three entries: Metro (Had never heard of it), Hitman (Completely forgot about it, since I was never really a fan of the franchise), and Wii U (Cause,I really did not expect it to be on here, it's not a game).

The other 7 I had nailed though. E3 might go either way for me this year.

Halo 4 just to see what they do to keep it fresh + Forge update.
Wii-U line-up to decide if I am buying it or not.

The rest does not interest me that much.

I can't give any fucks about the new Tomb Raider mainly because I never played any of them before and it looks like they are giving Lara the Other M treatment and turning her from a strong female protagonist into a simpering, vulnerable character that needs a man to survive, so I have no idea what makes it worthy of #2.
