Pongkoo is going to US, ALONE! He's already on the airplane and asking for someone to pick him up. Guy is totally crazy, but I respect that

I wonder why the marquee Korean players don't get along. You never see Poongko with Laugh and Infiltration. I remember hearing that they're not exactly buddies, not that they hate each other, but they'd rather not kick it together at the very least. When I was at EVO last year, Poongko was only with his American interpreter. And the only Korean player who was ever beside him was Weirdo Neo(who is actually Korean American), but W-Neo was trolling the (American)audience with the South Korean flag during top 8.

EDIT: Just read the tweet now, hopefully someone shows up to help him out. There is a decent LV FGC scene to my knowledge. So there are definitely people there that can help like how Justin helped Mago, but who knows if they have a interpreter around to make things easier for Poongko and whoever houses him if that's the case.

Seems like all the Japanese players have gotten closer together since they have to travel together and are the only people they can communicate with. It's the opposite with the Korean players though.

I think its more that the Japanese players play against each other often so they are on more friendly terms with one another. Like you often see them play together on topanga and such other shows. They also frequent some of the same arcades (heard Daigo and Kazunoko go to the same one).

It doesn't look like those Korean players know each other much.

There is a group of Korean players coming together as well though (there are 5 or 6 of them iirc, including MADKof, all travelling together).

Chris Hu is basically an unwitting punchline who thinks he's in on a much nicer joke than the one everyone is playing on him.

That's not angry - that's what's happening. It's pretty blatant.

maybe you could've just posted "why do you guys like chris hu's commentary?" and seen if your hypothesis was correct instead of assuming the worst.

Pretty sure I saw Kayo's name in the bracket like 4 days ago, and Poongko is just one crazy dude.

I'm kind of hoping the week goes slow (don't kill me) so I can make a full recover (from stomach flu) to stream monster.

I'm already bummed out that I won't get to drink and go nuts with friends for the 4th of July because my stomach would just explode. =(

Zac perfected FChamp?! IN HIS OWN HOUSE?!

Everyone perfects Champ in his own house, that's actually one of the rules to know if you're a fraud or not. According to Champ, "you must pop my cherry, because I use PHX and that greatly increase your chance for a perfect."

Yuck man, feel better. We need everyone at 100% for Evo. :p

He was using his Dormammu team throughout the FT10. Champ's play was a bit jaded, his execution let him down on a few occasions, but Zak was looking strong. I really like the way he adjusted his Firebrand mix ups, knowing that the usual set ups were becoming fruitless.

These long sets vs top players are really helping him level up, and its evident to see.

Poongko has played against Infiltration in arcades numerous times, it's all over youtube. I think it's probably just a personal thing or a rivalry or something.

Finally catching up on Curleh mustache. Felt good watching dios x eat justin for lunch. I still have quite a bit more to watch.

don't get it either. Context please

IIRC all that week Gootecks made a huge deal out of them broadcasting live from "Cross Counter Studios" or some such nonsense and that moment took the veil off. The monsters went in pretty hard after that. This was before they had the CGI couch set up they do now.

I think it is just some people don't like hanging out with other people. Not everybody gets along.

What happened. More raffles?
Quick and dirty summation:

-Yipes wants to grind at the FGTV house in preparation for EVO, but says that by doing so he's not sure he can make it out to EVO because his plane(?) ticket is for SoCal to Vegas not NorCal to Vegas.

-FChamp puts up a donation link and asks his stream monsters to help get Yipes to EVO.

-Claims it's not a raffle, but then offers to give a stick away anyways.
