Since the free game will updated every month and the system a bit being confusing for some and people who wants to be up to date on game coming in and coming out as well i think monthly thread will be useful.

EU - (Next Update - July 18th)

1) PlayStation Plus Game of the month :

The Game of the Month will be changed every 4 weeks.

2) PlayStation Plus Games Catalogue

You have six whole games to start you off, and as each pair of titles is replaced, the next pair will be around for 12 weeks.

It's called PS+. :p

And it's become a pretty fantastic service. Couldn't be more happy with it. Really looking forward to finally play DE:HR.
 
PS+ has made me very happy the past couple months. It's looking like a great value if you're gaming on a strict budget.

I might get another Year of PS+ when my Ps+ expires, which is in December. These deals have been great. EU here.
 
Should ask this in the other thread, but while I am here..... do you have to be signed in to PSN in order to play your PS+ games even if you are a current subscriber? EG: I take my PS3 somewhere with no net, could I still play the games if they are valid or must I be online to play them?

It is like Netflix for gaming. I had 3 months but may just get a year and not buy any more games and use PS+ as a rental service.

So long as it's one of your 2 activated consoles, it doesn't matter. You can play them offline.

Oh man after the complaining I did last night about July's update, they rub it in even more and give EU Deus Ex. That stings bad.
 
Rawr, I'd love to snag Deus Ex... Not a big enough fan of the series to go out and buy it, but I still want to play it (played the other two, was probably too young and impatient to really enjoy them). Already grabbed Lara Croft and have been enjoying it, but it's pretty repetitive. Just Cause 2 is just awesome, Pac Man is awesome, going to download Infamous 2 right now, and Warhammer is awful.

edit: BRAINFLASH! I can make a EU account and grab it, right? I'm assuming I would have to pay for the EU PS+ on top to my US +? Hmm...

yeah you can, and you'd have to probably get an eu ps card to top up your account. Still you'd get motostorm, darksiders and deus ex out of it at least.

I think I might do it. I'd love to play Darksiders again. Was smoking too much pot when it first came out, and just did not pay any attention while playing the game and cast it off as being boring, but I know it's my kind of game.

Playstation Game of the Month , PlayStation Plus Games Catalogue + Yearly games = Free.

Game of the Month will change every month

Second one is the game category where all 6 games will be replaced by another set of 6 games within 12 weeks. [2 games at a time - date are mentioned]

and 3 games will be their for free throughout the year which are infamous 2 , lpb 2 and motorstorm

It can vary hugely. For the EU stuff...

Darksiders - 10GB
inFamous 2 - 15GB
LittleBigPlanet 2 - 5.8GB
MotorStorm Apocalypse - 6.8GB
Outland - 1.2GB
Renegade Ops - 2.5GB
Space Marine - 5.2GB
Stranger's Wrath - 3.2GB

The Uncharted games are both over 20GB each.

And you need twice as much room to get them installed.
 
Gotham City Impostors? Ew. Looks like I already own almost all of the other multiplatform stuff. I will most certainly play some Pacman, though.
