I just picked up a slim a couple of months ago and am more than happy. Has the sort of look that makes me want to call it the 'stealth model.' This is just an incredibly ugly design with the ridges in the middle of two smooth ends. Looks like it would play an 8 track, lol.

I'm sorry but from these pics this new model is ugly. I hope to god my slim doesn't have to get replaced anytime in the near future. I personally think the slim design is the best.

My original 60g was a dust and fingerprint magnet. I prefer the matte finish of the slim. Anyway, if this new model allows Sony to lower the PS3's price and get the console into more homes that's cool.

How they've made this look uglier is beyond me. PS3 hasn't lived up to the first two consoles in terms of revisions. PlayStation to PSOne = awesome. PS2 to PS2 Slim = awesome.

I don't care so much about the looks, but no back USB port is bad, and how much less heat or power would this really produce, the current Slims are already about 50% less power than the Fat, so I doubt this thing will be much more than 10% less than current Slims. Should be able to pick up current Slim cheaper once they announce this.

edit: I just looked up the leaked pics from the first slim, and it looks pretty much what it looks like, although it's in pieces. So, to everyone saying it looked way uglier in pictures than it did when it released: No.
