Batman totally killed 2 people at the end too. First the driver of the bomb truck with a missile from The Bat, then he essentially "killed" Talia by blowing up the concrete and causing her to crash down to the street below. Shame shame Batman.
3 if you count letting the missile trailing him blow one of the tanks up when he tried shaking it.

Nolan scored with a PAT or RBI with this movie. He still scored though. But it was not the touchdown or home run that I wanted.

Yeah my thoughts. First half could have been better the Bane fight was awesome but the second Bane fight not so much. Needed more Batman or at least give JGL a Robin suit. Would of been cool of Nolan to bring back the fake Batmans like in Dark Knight but I guess not. Like I said before this is Back To The Future 3. Decent movie but it closes it out well.

One thing I will say that I loved about the movie: The Bat. All the trailers and toys out there had me sour to it, but I loved it in the movie. The way it sounded. The way it moved. Just loved it. I hated it in all the trailers, but that is one thing that actually exceeded my expectations.

Agreed. I thought the music was pretty awesome too.

Feels bad man. I know exactly what you're feeling.

Im letting out my dislike tonight bcause when I wake up tomorrow I wont give a fuck about this movie.

I'm glad (I guess?) to hear I'm not alone. I am seriously just in disbelief about what I just saw.

Robin? The fuck? What does that mean!? If he starts running around as Robin, that makes a pretty shitty hero name if that's his real name.

Why would Talia have a fake name, nobody knows who the fuck she is any way (as long as she doesn't use her fathers last name).

What the fuck at Gordon's speech.

Why did this movie tell me EVERYTHING instead of showing me things?

Why did I know what the final scene would be about five minutes in?

Why did Batman think Catwoman would know where Bane was? She wasn't working with Bane. He just tried to kill her.

Why would Batman go back to Catwoman after getting back to Gotham!? She just about got you fucking killed, but you think this time she'll be different?

How the fuck did Batman get back into Gotham?

Why the fuck did Talia say some Ras Al Ghul shit (restore balance) five minutes into the movie, and then the movie treats me like I'm so fucking stupid I wouldn't pick up on it?

TDK > BB > TDKR

Tried to escalate the scale to create an epic finale but didn't have the emotional core that the first two films had, and so came off feeling somewhat empty in comparison. Still enjoyed it.

I'm talking about the unbelievable of Bruce falling for a woman that

1) stole his mother's pearls
2) stole his prints (thereby bankrupting him)
3) stole his car
4) walked him into a trap where Bane pulverized him and broke his back

How does he respond to that?

Gives her the BatPod and lately retires with her.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa?

I honestly don't know why any of those things would make you believe Bruce wouldn't be attracted to the woman.

Canidate for "No More Dead Cops" unintentional comedy extra....there was prisoner during final, successful Bruce climb that was cheering like a madmen...my whole crew noticed him and it was the best laugh we had in 3 hours.

The tell don't show stuff was pretty egregious. Like: "Bane?" "Oh, let me check on our computer- Heres his whole history."

Didn't think Bane was a good choice for a villain. No good fights except for the last, when Bane goes berserk because of his mask getting damaged.

Bane was good until the last half. I mean seriously? You broke this mans back not that long ago he comes back from a shitty Rocky montage and Batman wins.

That is what I thought the 'Rise' track was. I was wrong. What is that called? It was my favourite part of the score.

I did like that they kept building up his climbs only to have him fail each time.

But why do we fall?

Ugh. That just reminds me of how bad almost every flashback was to Begins.

If Bruce is back in Gotham why would the thugs bring him there? Wouldnt they bring him straight to Bane? Nope...theyll bring Bruce to him...tomorrow.

Again: because that's where Talia wanted him to be?

It's not that her plan was great but presumably all of that shit was her plan. Like she said, the slow knife.

She wanted him to trust her, she wanted him to fuck her, she wanted him to think he had just saved the day and then she wanted to stab him and blow up his city. In that order.

To do that, he had to think he'd regrouped and formed a master plan.

"What the hell are these guys thinking?" is a question you should be ask as it's happening, which inevitably clues you in that Talia is who she is. After that reveal, though, I think a lot of those choices make perfect sense.

The fact that Bruce wasn't questioning it is another matter entirely.

How did Batman find where Harvey took Joker's henchman after the attempt on the mayor's life?

What the hell was up with Gordon faking his death? How the hell does that work logistically?

How did Joker kill Gambol's henchmen who carried him onto the pool table and stood to his side? He was only holding one knife.

What did Harvey think after he was knocked out at Wayne's party? Did he not question anyone about how he was knocked out, or why?

How did Batman find Harvey and Gordon in the final showdown? It's not like Joker told him where he would be. And Gordon didn't tell anyone where he was going.

I would have liked it if we simply HEARD Thomas Wayne say 'Why do we fall?' after Bruce falls into blackness. The flashback didn't feel like it punctuated anything. It was poorly edited in and ultimately didn't feel like it was informing Bruce's frame of mind at that point because he wasn't exactly struggling for motivation.

Our theater too. Dude was excited to be in the movie.

My brother was Tom Hardy's stand in for the film. So some shots it might be my brother's shaved head. Sure, he isn't in the credits because he is an extra, but it is still cool.

He was also Cilian Murphy's stand in on Inception.

He totally kills someone in the dark knight as well. During the chase scene with Harvey in the armoured car he rams one of the trucks with the batmobile and completely smashes the cab.

That Alfred monologue was RIDICULOUS. Dropping shit about how he was trained by Ras. How you know dat, Pennyworf?

It's been implied in TDK that he has military connections and is probably ex-military.

The entire film was poorly edited for the most part.

Did your brother end up with similar tan lines as Tom Hardy? Those are pretty epic.

I have never felt like a movie thought I was as fucking stupid as this movie did. I can't believe I've seen critics who said they were confused at times. About what!? You were plainly told everything, often times long before it happened.

You over estimate the general movie going audience's intelligence and/or memory. If there was a simple voice over that said "Why do we fall?", most would say, "Who the hell was that?"

There was a Mass shooting in Denver at a screening of the Dark Knight Rises.

2 People Shot 10 People Dead. WTF?

From what I read 10 people died and 30-40 were injured. WHAT THE FUCK. Seriously, why? Just why?

It should be noted that BBC said that the death toll is NOT CONFIRMED though.

Yep, that one flashback stuck out like a sore thumb to me.

Time for some Nolan Bat spin. There is no suggestion that he knows this via military. He just knows it because WE need to be told it.

I find it kind of funny/stupid that they spend the entire movie hyping up Bane based off a backstory that is revealed to be completely fake.

Batman knows how to find bitches. It's what he does. Except Bane, he'll need help with that.

I don't know what you mean. He faked his death so Joker wouldn't go after his family to hurt him. Logistically, the one person who checked his pulse knew he wasn't dead. Who knows who else didn't.

I thought Joker pretty clearly stabs both of them as he stands up. You'rr assuming he only had one knife because he only puts one to Gambol's mouth.

You tell Harvey he was knocked out by one of Joker's thugs.

Yes, Gordon told the police where he was going. That's why the police were there. I assume Batman is pretty much always listening in on police chatter. We don't need to be told everything. Thinking that we do is what is wrong with this movie.

I say what I did like was Bale and Hathaway. Bale has easily his best performance. The first act of the film works mainly because, despite allll the exposition and the character introductions and flashbacks and stuff, seeing the plight of Bruce Wayne is interesting. Bale really gets to play around a bit more, there's more humor, more sincerity, he does more then one face like he stares his way through Batman Begins. I WANT to see Bruce succeed, I want to see him get out of this funk and fight back the darkness. And even with the cop-out ending, I was alright with it because I just liked seeing him happy. Maybe that will change over time, but Bruce Wayne is the best part about a Batman movie, and I can't remember the last time I've said that.

Hathaway's Selena Kyle is a revelation, as well. Finally, a female character worth a damn in the series. She's playful but intelligent, selfish but not without compassion. She gives the movie such levity and it's a joy to see her on screen. The sudden romance fan service at the end sucked, but her journey from selfish thief to eventual hero is a satisfying one.

Yup...hes an orphan that Wayne takes a liking too...I was waiting for them to say Blakes dad was one of the cops Dent killed....really hammer it home for the fans.

I'll have to see this again to really decide how I feel. The romantic stuff didn't seem believable to me. I also didn't get that he way he just admitted to Robin that he is Batman. What was his evidence was that he remembered him from the orphanage as a child, but then recognized him behind his mask? I did like his character a lot, but relegating him to the kid round up wasted him at the end.

I guess the league of shadows is done now? I don't know the comics, but I left thinking I'd have rather seen a movie with Batman, Robin, and Catwoman fighting. I will see it again next week and will enjoy it more hopefully.

Feels like i walked out of a front sit to a slow motion train wreck. Like, did they switch writers in between movies or has the script always been this bad?
