I had a long discussion with a very good friend (who recently became a practicing Christian because of his wife), and he really couldn't give me a good answer to why homosexuals shouldn't get married. He even said to me "Well, because it's a union under God", to which I asked "Well, I'm Hindu by birth. I don't believe in the same God(s) you do. Should I not get married?"

He of course replied "of course you should be married!" Then I asked if I should be allowed to get married if I were gay. I simply said "If I were gay, would you come to my wedding?"

He didn't really have an answer.
