Thanks for posting this, I'll have to make it sometime.
We're on the same page as far as eating habits.I avoid fast food other than Qdoba and Jimmy Johns, and it surprises me that people eat fast food on a regular basis. It's not that hard to make some food in your own kitchen, or eat at a local establishment.

As for the people who seem to survive on fast food, I guess having to remove that bigot restaurant from the rotation is a big deal because it gives them less of a variety of food choices? I don't know. I'm really trying to see how a chicken sandwich is more important than human rights to some people. How many different fast food chains are there in most areas, maybe ten? So is cutting one completely out really that big of a deal?
Maybe we should start posting easy but delicious recipes in this thread to give people more options.

What the fuck? I'm down with the boycott of Chick-Fil-A, but to hell with this. If it's not a place I can't eat at or shop at where ever I go then I'm not spending a dime there. You eat at Shenanigans because you fucking know that a Shenanigans in Sheboygan is going to taste the same as a Shenanigans in Spurbury. Just like you shop at TJ Max or Walmart because if you're travelling and have to return something, you're almost guaranteed to have a TJ Max or Walmart right down the road. I do not understand this "local, family run" preference at all.Seriously. If it's at all possible, eat at a local, family run place and avoid all the big chains.
Once gays get the right to marry I'm going to take me a man to my nearest Chick-Fil-A and make out during lunch. Will be fun.
Especially at restaurants, makes no fucking sense there.I hate when people make out in public, gay or straight.

I actually can't understand your stance at all. You only eat at chain restaurants because you know what to expect and that there is always one nearby? For starters, local restaurants actually have real chefs who cook the food as opposed to employees who just defrost stuff and follow directions. You are also supporting a local business which is great for the community. Finally, don't you want some diversity in your life? I can't imagine a more mundane existence than having to eat the same thing from the same place over and over again. What the fuck? I'm down with the boycott of Chick-Fil-A, but to hell with this. Some people just care more about chicken than they do the rights of their fellow man.
God, that sounds really awful when I say it like that.

Do you have a really busy day that keeps you from cooking, or do you just not feel like it? As for the ingredients spoiling, maybe only if you buy huge quantities from a place like Costco. The buns are the only things that would go bad pretty quick, but the other perishable stuff can be purchased as individual items or just the exact amount you need to make the burger. It's not hard to make food in my own kitchen, but it can be difficult to manage buying ingredients.
For example, if I want a burger I can drive 2 miles and get a Jumbo Jack for $1.59. The alternative is going to grocery store, also about 2 miles, and spending like $20 on a huge list of ingredients: buns, meat, spices, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mayo, ketchup. Unless I eat nothing but burgers every day, half of those ingredients will spoil before I use all of them.
Then add another 30 minutes of preparing food and washing dishes.
So how much money has CFA contributed to 'traditional family' groups? A couple of million?
Nike, Gildan, and pretty much ANY clothes or shoes (besides New Balance) brand has all of their product made over seas by children and other people under near-slave conditions. They make BILLIONS off the backs of children.
Apple and other electronics brands have their stuff made in equally horrible places. They make BILLIONS off of suffering.
You have to pick and choose your fights. A couple of million dollars contributed to some 'traditional family' group? I hardly can bat an eye at that in the grand scheme of things.
Every fucking page, I swear. So how much money has CFA contributed to 'traditional family' groups? A couple of million?

Can we just copy and paste our responses to this argument from the last fifty pages? So how much money has CFA contributed to 'traditional family' groups? A couple of million?

Oh man, you have the most adorable tag.Personally I like quoting myself from earlier in the thread, that way it's clear how unoriginal they're being.
He said he eats at chains. You don't understand the benefits to supporting local, family-run business? You take pride in only eating at chains? Good Christ. Enjoy missing out on some of the best food ever made.

I just found out my aunt, who loves Chick-Fil-A, will also be boycotting them because of their stance against gays. She was the first family member I came out to.
No shit.No doubt one is easier than the other to give up than another, but on a fundamental level, we're all doing the same thing basically.

So can you not notice the difference in ingredients between a good local place and a chain? Or perhaps you see no merit in giving money to local businesses? What the fuck? I personally like retyping all of my posts, although the mods might think I'm just inflating my post count
