"Hey, nobody picked up the sniper. Cool gonna get it."

Teammate throws grenades and shoots at me. Betrays me just to get the sniper. Smh.

I was wondering what map that was. There are a couple other ones that look fun to play too. Next Reach update needs to have these maps in there.

MLG controls their playlist
They stopped covering competitive Halo
Fans left in dust

Why do good maps like this http://www.twitch.tv/underradar411 (splash) make it into tournaments but we get so many garbage forge maps in MM?

Because every time I beg for maps in a community and zero people respond with submissions, we can't magically read minds?

Seriously, I've seen so many people say "LOOK AT THESE MAPS, WHY NOT IN MM" then they're never submitted. The last time a collection of maps was just used without explicity dealing with the authors first, it spawned a 20-page long hate thread that Bungie wasn't using that community's branded gametype along with the maps and then wanting Bungie to pull the maps out of matchmaking. Also the expected insults.

Also for MLG, only the MLG higher ups can submit content, and they aren't sending in new content. Their community is unable to contribute to their community playlist. If the MLG community wanted new maps in their playlist I'd totally be behind letting them select new maps then getting them tested and put in. But the arrangement says only MLG brass gets to decide.

Brutes were really boring enemies that smell bad.

The Brute concept art was soo cool. Too bad that awesomeness never translated well in the actual game.

Another question that can follow to this is, How'd the Covenant found the shield world in Halo Wars?

The relic on Harvest displayed a star map that guided them to it, which also relieves a pretty common question of "What was the point of even finding the Relic on Harvest?"

One thing that's interesting to think about is this: was Regret looking for the Shield World's keyships to form a new fleet, or was he trying to secure a safe haven in the event that the Covenant actually had their plans of the Great Journey come to fruition?

Ah, Brutes. So awesome in Halo 2. Well, in theory, they just need to react to hits more.
Also, remember those 'nade throws. Seriously. The penultimate Arbiter mission, near the end, the Brutes could throw Plasma Grenades nearly 100 meters (300 feet, give or take), easy. And hit you with them.

It was so nice that they actually kept Regret's voice actor the same. It's too bad they killed him off so quick, he can only show up in prequels.

MLG community on this arena gaming stream makes me happy I never have to interact with anyone in the MLG community.

Its like they try to out dbag each other.

So 'Storm' is the name of the rogue Covenant faction in Halo Quad. Have you guys discussed this yet?

Yeah, a couple of pages back. Now we're discussing the Brutes from Halo Double and Halo Triple.

I, too, have always liked the concept art of the Brutes from Halo 3. I love the belt buckles and the leather straps. Too bad it didn't translate that well into the game.

We've been too busy discussing the Brutes from Halo Double and Halo Triple.

What would reach be called then, Cero?

I admit their bullet sponge-ness was an issue. But it ain't like the Elites were any better really. Sure, they actually took cover (and climbed on boxes) but they weren't particularly more intelligent. They went "WORT WORT WORT" and charged.

And Reach Elites are the worst of the bunch, even worse bullet sponges than any enemy in Halo before them.

Lol, zealots on Halo 1 Legendary.

And yesterday he was bitching about stifling Halo discussion; I guess as long as its Halo discussion he wants to discuss.

Oh wait, Kyle discussion.

i.e. bitching about reach(i'll give him that one), bitching about 3, bitching about how bad quad is going to be, bitching about 343, bitching about bungie, bitching about truskill(i'll also give him that one.), asking out of context questions at based frankie/dellis, etc, etc

When I see things like the Promethean Knight, I wonder if the Brutes could have been replaced by something a lot more interesting than a bullet sponge.

Elites had more interesting designs (IMO) and were there since CE.

I guess the problem I have is, we already have Elites to go WORT WORT WORT and charge. Did we really need another enemy that has a less interesting design to also go AHHHH and charge.

How did we get on to the topic of Brutes, were they confirmed for Halo Quad? Also, I think the Halo Tri concept art Brutes were well realised.

Lol, zealots on Halo 1 Legendary.

Reach Elites (starting with Minors, the higher the worse) on Legendary are worse. Weak weapons don't help any. Hell, the Plasma Pistol doesn't even track well on Reach, unlike Halo CE.
Besides, i killed Zealots with the Assault Rifle in Halo CE. AR and strafing. When i had to...

The Elites should have been made more tactical and Brutes should have taken over the close-in enemy's role.

Only because you believe in them so much, Flipyap.
You know it! My faith in their ability to turn everything into scab-covered lizards cannot be broken.

Weird. I thought those concepts translated really well, at least as long as you let them keep their fancy hats/pants on.

So basically Halo needs more varied and better
driving
AI.

Halo has good AI compared to other games (indeed, probably the best AI in shooters, at least in those i've played). It still falls way too short from being actually intelligent.
Cheating AI is not counted, Halo AI actually needs to locate the Chief.
Reach AI is half-cheater, it is nearly 100% accurate when firing, even on the move against moving target.

EDIT and dat driving AI.
I'll go shoot myself now, don't remind me of it.
EDIT, actually, i'll go shoot some friendly marines.
EDIT can we get some nice weapons for blowing up shitty drivers in Halo 4? Because they ain't going to have good driving AI. Nothing can make me belive 343i actually fixed that.

Have you played FEAR 1?

Nope.
I really doubt its AI matches my standards for intelligent. Sufficient to say not even GalCiv2, a game that has probably the best TBS AI there is (not counting chess) doesn't match my standards of intelligent AI (it is actually quite easy to beat when it comes to strategy).

Next time, don't let teams know a few days before the tournament limit for the current round. Especially when the tournament seems cancelled, and a game hasn't been played for a weeks (to my knowledge anyway).

On the 29th, it was decided that shadow's team was moving on. Neither you nor him decided to contact the other for a whole week.

I shouldn't even have to do deadlines. If every captain made attempts to establish communication, then scheduling wouldn't even be an issue.

Eh, we prolly didn't set things up the best way to start with. I appreciate you helming the tourney, though. Next time leave it to someone else.

Next tourney, which I guess would be sometime after h4 fits, teams should just be more localized. That way it's easier to get everyone in the room rather than making some people play at odd as fuck hours. When it comes to those teams having to square off then it can just be morning/afternoon for NA folk and night (but not late night) for euros. If you're in Australia, then whatever, you're just fucked all of the time.

Prolly a good idea. And if you live in Australia you seem to be screwed in all things gaming, regardless :)
