So frigging goood.
I liked Halo 3 Brutes and i think they're fine as armored enemies, interesting mix of primitive and advanced but ultimate i prefer Halo 2 arrangement, advanced Elites and primitive Brutes.
And that change of guard, Brutes fighting for the helmet, the Arbiter watching dismayed... (is it "in dismay" or "dismayed"?)
We need that in modern graphics.
Somehow, Halo 2's story and cinematics have burned to my brain, unlike any other game (well, i guess there are a couple of more).
That's how the next one will be done.
Although apparently I shouldn't be part of its organization.

Things I'd introduce for the next one:
-European and US brackets
-Capping number of entrants at a certain number, then making the rest alternates
-Set up a schedule early and adhere to it
-Letting people decide who captains are, instead of choosing them
To name a few.

You and Kittens did a good job. It is hard as hell setting up a tournament. Especially one based within a varied community.
And, anyway, its a process of learning, you did some mistakes. You learnt from it. You apply that to the next tournament.

Also H4 probably won't have enough time invested in acquiring stats, so I suggest for any sort of H4 tourney you just have people square off in FFAs with whatever playlist settings (you know sans armor abilities or lack of killstreak type stuff) you are going to use for the tourney and just organize based on those stats. Playing randos on live isn't a good measurement for skill against fellow HaloGAF anyway.

Thanks, man. I know I goofed in certain areas, but if I do decide to be part of the next one, it'll definitely be better.
Something I've thought about, but it may lose interest over time (like this one did tbh):
Organize into teams, and do a "season". Divide up into conferences/division, and everyone plays a game or two each week. Do trades, have "free agents" available to pick up, etc.
Could be incredible if everyone kept with it.

Think you did a good job, just seems like their was communication problems. Not sure how well trades and shit would work out. Could cause tension. Like the seasonal play idea

no, i think you did a really good job for the first time.
i think the way it is set up needs to be modified. things like a set schedule for when matches need to be done by(no rescheduling deadlines), set it up to account for time zones, i know it seems unnecessary but we need to have at least one person constantly reminding teams to play their match (not saying you didn't). also rules that account for when a certain player cant make it. this tourney was not a failure, it was a test to see what worked and what didn't.

The tourney, at least for our team, went fine. All our games were timely and against original teams aside from one which featured the mercenary known as cocamola.

Regarding the leak, we get a clear look at the rail gun an reticle. Not much new here though. Railgun Display seems to have bars for charging the shot. The most notable thing about this picture is the radar. Looks like it keeps track of objects outside of its range and displays vehicles by their shape, not just a bigger blip. All stuff we've seen before though :/
