I have only played the first System Shock, but as far as I am aware, SS2 didn't have dual wielding of magic + weapon, which is one of the main focuses of the both Undying and Bioshock. I believe they are mostly like each other in the atmosphere and premiseSurely you jest? It's a very direct iteration of System Shock 2.
I'm worried now, especially for that vita version.
Bioshock is the most overrated game of the past decade, shamefully predictable story and twist, unoriginal ideas and poor gameplay; I hope they find a better series to work on.
Like you did in Bioshock by copy-pasting Undying and then somehow making it worse?
Two people leaving such a large team can't have that much of an effect.

read my previous post; both the plot and dual wielding would be very familiar if you had played Undying before; Bioshock has 'objectively' borrowed a lot from Undying [though undying may have done so from some other games, but then we would have only two overrated games].Please give me an example of an exemplary game in your opinion if you feel Bioshock had a predictable story, unoriginal ideas, and poor gameplay
Wow, so next gen will be released before we even see GTA V or Bioshock Infinite?"Both GTA V and Bioshock Infinite could realistically slip into a fiscal 14 release period,".

BioShock doesn't have dual wielding, BioShock 2 did though, and Infinite does. It does however, have a hand for magic, and a hand for guns, and SS2 didn't, it used the magic in the same right hand as the weapons.I have only played the first System Shock, but as far as I am aware, SS2 didn't have dual wielding of magic + weapon, which is one of the main focuses of the both Undying and Bioshock.
The story of BioShock is exactly the same as System Shock 2 in the broad strokes. And SS2 came before Undying. You are lead through the environment by an unreliable narrator, who is in fact the antagonist. They even have the same twist that you were under their control the whole time. Also, in Undying, the basic plot is this: Your friend asks you to help him; you kill all your friends enemies; then it turns out your friend was using you as a tool; now tell me if Bioshock is not the similar.
Your friend is wrong.I literally knew from the first dialogue with Adam in the elevator [iirc his name and the location] that how in the end it would turn out. Though to be honest after playing for few hours and finding the overall game boring [specially the combat and puzzles and the level design], I let go of it and only asked one of my friend who had finished the game if what I thought was true, which was

Or exactly like System Shock 2, that came out 2 years before Undying did.
Oh, in that case, no game without an uncut gameplay trailer was possibly never playable, even on release. I should be more careful buying these pre-alpha games publishers are slipping through the net.
Damn I forgot they DID skip E3....huh1. Get's Delayed
2. Skips E3
3. Key team members leave.
Sounds like everything is going according to plan.

Now even more so I don't see what people found really interesting about Bioshock: plot is predictable, combat difficulty balance is patched by spawning, puzzles are boring, dual wielding is from almost a decade ago in a better form; then what's so great about the game?BioShock doesn't have dual wielding, BioShock 2 did though, and Infinite does. TLG was demoed to some European press. But I wasn't aware BioShock Infinite has been playable at a trade show or for the press either. Those games still had demo builds for trade shows and preview builds the press could play. So far no one has played TLG or v13.
I thought it was a beautiful, fun to play, and thought provoking game. Now even more so I don't see what people found really interesting about Bioshock: plot is predictable, combat difficulty balance is patched by spawning, puzzles are boring, dual wielding is from almost a decade ago in a better form; then what's so great about the game?
Serious question, how does TakeTwo avoid disclosing this kind of information at investor meetings--legally speaking? I mean lets be real, they know whether Infinite and GTAV are going to make FY13, but as of last week they still maintained their (likely) bogus 1.7 billion $$$ earnings forecasts.
No that is a trailer strategically edited and had designers cutting areas which can't be shown. It doesn't mean at all that that specific section(s) in the trailer is in a playable state with your hands on the controller. THIS shows that the game is playable.

they said in april/may that they wont show the game at all this year.
It definitely had amazing graphics and atmosphere (even if I didn't find it suspenseful due to spawning), I also personally loved the cinematic direction of the game [in the sense that how each part of the scene and stages was placed, cutsence directions, etc.]; It's overall a great game [as far as I played], but very far from being rated as one of the best game of pas decade, or even ever! You know I understand having a difference of opinion, but I also believe in giving credit where credit is due. If you can't look at Bioshock and at least give it credit for it's unique style and atmosphere, then I'm almost entirely sure you're just trolling.

What does Mr.Elliot do?
Level designer?

What is the other biggest title? Also, Levine & Co. had nothing to do with BioShock 2.This generation has been screwy from top to bottom. Two of the biggest titles might not even come out until 2014. Presumably, all three next gen consoles will be out by them.
Bioshock was good, not great. Bioshock 2 was even worse. I don't care how ambitious they are because their ambitions rarely line up with their final product.

I think its more that they're not showing anything rather than the departures that is slightly concerning. Only slightly.
Ryan Payton left 343 and just like now, all the negativity was the first thing to surface.
Yet Halo 4 looks beyond godly.
They also lost their Design Manager to Sucker Punch and Senior System Design to Harmonix. One producer transitioned to writer, another went to Microsoft.
Joystiq has it all.

This is everyone's solution to everything it seems, and it never makes sense to me. What's the budget for this game already? $40/50M? Give it another eighteen months for PS480 and it'll be $55/60? Factor in a healthy marketing budget, you're looking at four million units just break even. Four million units in the first year of a platform? Incredibly difficult, and more importantly, needlessly difficult when there's a hundred and thirty million PS360s.They should delay Bioshock Infinite, take all the time they need and release it on next gen consoles.

That sure does sound like Take-Two's decision making process though.
Well, actually, Take-Two's decision making process would involve a two year delay and adding all of 2K Marin and Gearbox onto the project.
Ok this AND not showing at GamesCom? I'm getting kinda worried now here guys =/
