MT. DEW EXCLUSIVE ARMOR AND ARMOR MOD.

The Mountain* Specialization: In what became known as The Worst Idea Ever for the Spartan Program, Mountain Dew had their own suit of armor created for their demographic.

En Ema Armor Mod: The En Ema armor mod allows Spartans to enjoy their favorite beverage at all times, with Dew Tubes shoved up their ass and down their throats. Gameplay-wise it gives players jitters that may or may not be beneficial, but it does give the player an insane caffeine high for about 30 minutes and then an immediate, excruciating migrane. Diabeetus and eyelid boils are also common, so please use responsibly.

Interesting. Wonder what the US will get then. You guys don't have regular Dew? Is Energy more like an energy drink than a soda?

It tastes more soda-like than other energy drinks I've tried, but it has similar caffeine levels to red bull etc.

On the topic of Dew, a while back I discovered an American sweetshop here in Aberdeen that imports alot of the US flavours. I pretty much buy them out of Mountain Dew: White Out whenever I drop past now, sooooo good!

I'd go for the Doritos Specialization.

The Doritos Specialization: Spartans get hungry and cannot always find the time to stop at the UNSC snack bar/Space McDonalds. In what was deemed the "most important space-time revolution since the Mars landing" ONI scientists have developed a way to bring the ultimate snack to the ultimate fighting machine.

EXplosive Di Harria Armor Mod - Spartan IV Armor now comes equipped with a brand new feeding system that delivers Doritos chips straight into a cadet's mouth via the nasal cavity. A special incision* allows for Spartan trainees to have a chip-sized hole cut into the side of their nose that is the perfect width for the UNSC's favorite tortilla chip. The chip is then "applied" via a special DORit'-O AI system within the armor, into the nasal cavity. The chip disintegrates and reaches the mouth.

Coupling this new system with the brand new En Ema Armor Mod gives a Spartan everything they need to sustain themselves through long battles. But wait, what happens when they have to, you know, go? Well, via a separate tube running along side the En Ema mod, Spartans can send already digested food particles out into space for use as the new "GREEN" jet propulsion system. Need to get away from that attacking Elite? Just release your food! DO THE DEW-ORITOS. JOIN THE UNSC.

*Only available to Spartan IVs because, well, they're monsters already.

One thing I'm looking forward to when I go back to the US for a bit in a couple of weeks: getting a drink of real Mountain Dew again, and not Canada's imposter Mountain Dew.

Will teleporters work properly in Halo 4?

They were so badly broken in 3, and Reach barely made any use of them and they felt more "delayed" than those in Halo 2.

They said they are considering implementing a hidden skill based determination that only you can see. Matchmaking will be skill based but it's unlikely that you'll be able to have any public facing skilled based icon or number or anything.
I hope this ends up happening because this way you can have "ranked" without creating more separate playlists.
Yea. I think highest exp level will be 150 since there are 10 specializations.
Isn't there 8 specializations?

I'm bored, HaloGAF. Favorite MP map, and Campaign level. All of Halo. Go!

Me:
MP: Sandtrap. For the the hundreds of hours of tears of joy that came out of that map.
Campaign: "The Covenant" - Halo 3. Amazing vehicular combat, great cinematics, awesome story and really "feels like Halo".

This will be fun.

MP: Valhalla. People have brought up good criticisms about this map. Under the right circumstances the hill can be dominating, but the overall fun this map has brought me outclasses any other. There's nothing like going through a mancannon on Valhalla and landing dozens of feet away, safely. I love the atmosphere. I know I've linked to this video many times before, but this game highlights everything I love about the map.

Campaign: tie between "The Ark" and "The Covenant." Maybe because they're back to back, the best one-two punch of any Halo campaign, but I can't choose between the two. Both blend indoor, infantry encounters and outdoor vehicular mayhem close to perfection. Each excels at implementing their own rising action, climax, and falling action. Both levels have their own crescendo that is memorable and spectacular: the battle outside the Cartographer in The Ark, and the dual Scarab battle before the Citadel in The Covenant. Bungie nailed the pacing in both levels too. You're always feeling like you're moving and doing something important: breaking through the wall to the Cartographer, securing a landing zone for the Forward Unto Dawn, shutting down a Citadel tower, securing a beach for troops and supplies.

Within these two levels are the majority of Halo 3's best cinematics. There are many good ones throughout the levels that offer up what players want in a Halo game – grand mystery, a feeling of exploration – but Bungie did an especially good job of setting you up, and leaving you with closer, for each level. The Ark: opening and closing. The Covenant: opening and closing.

Of course you can't mention the levels without the music. There's a part of "Farthest Outpost" that compliments perfectly your zipping along the sand dunes of The Ark. One of my favorite Halo moments comes in The Covenant when you're rounding the ice cave and you get your first proper view of the Citadel. One of the marines says over the radio: "Citadel in sight! Brutes are mobilizing everything they've got." *music starts*

Those levels are pure Halo to me, and the very definition of the word "grand."

Drinking some water to avoid high sodium levels.

When's the next event with Halo 4 playable so we can get everyone's "fresh" impressions of the game?

Skip MLG Raleigh next week and drive to Toronto with me, we can do 4 impression vids with Bravo, it will be fun.

lol first horse now grifball.. the really interesting parts about forge present it.

Seems to me like they are marketing to existing communities. RTX and now Grifball. I hear competitive players essentially are their own community too. Can't wait to hear what they'll get.

343i is just doing SO much for the competitive community.

Why else would they fly pros to their studio to author a book on how to use the Hardlight shield?

Oh, they didn't focus on the features that would make competitive gaming leagues actually want to pick up their game and foster and further the eSports scene and Call of Duty did?

So now we have a strategy guide authored by former Halo pros since there's not a competitive scene anymore.

Next week we get new Spartan Ops missions, so that will distract me for the next 35 minutes at least. Then I can go back to refilling my Halo 4 Mountain Dew bottles with my own tears.

Okay...

All this MLG whinging in here is pretty obnoxious. Can't you just blog about it on your site or something instead of shitting up this community?

Like seriously.

Would you like me to spew undying love for an infallible developer?

Campaign looks fine for those interested in that.

Spartan Ops will be sick for Co-Op with friends.

The new books will be great for the people who enjoy that.

Forward Unto Dawn will scratch the Halo movie itch that most fans have.

The new toys look great and will be awesome for collectors.

I'm not sold on the merits of competitive multiplayer yet.

Sue me.

I'll be home around 10/11pm est if you guys are still on.

When will u4ix's stream run dry?

It already has with no mode to cast.

Well, there is a CoD thread... :)

A lot of other discussions come up in here that I don't care about, I just don't post about not liking it. Maybe I'm weird.

Do you actually read all the posts in this community? We all whine and complain... why is "MLG whining and complaining" more obnoxious than anything else?

Well, there is a CoD thread... :)

The conversation on Blops 2 in here is directly applicable... the tool set for competitive streaming and shout casting is EXACTLY what some people want in Halo. It's exemplary and completely cogent to that point.
