The collection will be 4$ (but there might be a fan discount as well, more news on that later)

The Basement collection is a collection of 8 of my games from the past, revamped with new art, music and extra content.

The collection includes
-Time Fcuk (with a new exclusive 33 level sequel chapter and updated level editor)
-Aether (with improved graphics, physics, controls and extra bonus content)
-Spewer (with a new exclusive 10 level bonus chapter, improved physics and controls)
-Grey Matter (the 1st Team Meat game)
-Triachnid (with improved mouse controls)
-Meat Boy (with improved controls)
-Coil
-Secret game 1 (with new music, graphics and gameplay)
-Secret game 2

All of these games will feature achievements and be presented in high detail at full screen resolution. each game will also feature bonus development extras ( design documents, character design sketches, audio and video commentary and playable prototypes ).
on top of all this, the Basement collection will also featured 8 substantial unlockables featuring bonus games, full comics, sketch books and more.

Extra details:
-15 minutes of never before scene stock video interviews from Indie Game: The Movie
-Over 40 minutes audio of development commentary/QA sessions
-Over 30 pages of development documents and character sketches.
-6 playable tech demos/prototypes
-tons of behind the scenes photos, comics, easter eggs and extras

The collection also comes with a free full digital sound track, featuring full sound tracks from all but one game featured in the collection, the soundtrack also features over 10 amazing fan made tracks!

And if you don't know what any of this stuff is, they are all still available to play on his old newgrounds page. Time Fcuk is the standout for sure.

I was wanting to play Aether after watching IG:tM and I'm happy I held off. I'll end up buying this pack and try out the game with sharper looking visuals.

Having an offline version of Time Fcuk would be worth 10 bucks.
At 4 with all of his other stuff, its a steal

I'm definitely in. Price is great just for the games. But the extras included push it over to day one for sure, for me.

I will give this guy 4 bucks just based off Binding of isaac and super meat boy being so great he should get more money.

hopefully joy2key will be viable for these.

I would imagine Steam doesn't allow for swears to be in the titles, lot of business don't like that now that I think about it. Also, I shall skip this collection.

I have the horrible feeling a lot of these will still be running on flash.
For all of it, its a good price. But am still disappointed at how Issac runs :/

The games are in flash, the game shell is adobe air, but it will be able to use hardware acceleration, unlike Isaac.

Okay, thats cool then - hopefully that stops them suffering some of the problems in Isaac. :)

Don't really see any reason for anyone with Steam not to pick this up tbh.

Article on The Verge about it

"I actually talk about this in depth in a few of the game commentaries. I think it's important to show your mistakes, it kills the illusion of 'being talented.' I get that a lot, 'I wish I had as much talent as you so I could make cool games.' Talent is a word lazy people use to explain why they can't do things.

"I'm not talented, I just did something a lot for a very long time. The collection shows most of this, it shows mistakes I made and learned from and how I've built off of what I know, and ended up creating Super meat boy and Binding of Isaac. That's not saying the games are bad... Three of the games I feel are on par with SMB and Isaac (Aether, Time Fcuk and Spewer) but the rest are a bit rough around the edges in some ways for sure.

wut

I thought he said it'd stay on PC? Not that it's a bad thing as we're getting it on PC as well but this is surprising.

He talks about it on his Formspring often. It seems another company is doing it and it wouldn't be out until sometime next year. Nothing is confirmed yet.

You can browse through it and see random questions answered. May have to go down a ways before seeing any talk of it.
