Nintendo Direct EU - 13th September, 4PM CET (Wii U confirmed for EU this year)

They won't.

Don't expect it. The similar Wii event in 2006 detailed date, launch lineup, price, OS and unrevealed Wii Sports games. Expect that with Nintendoland instead of Wii Sports.

I don't expect it. They still should though. With the Wii it was cool because their E3 showing had plenty of info on post-launch window games, but we have none of that for the Wii U, so they'd be smart to tease at least something.

Ah well.

So why is the original article down?

The link not works for me and I couldn´t find this news on the gamereactor.es website. This website (the spanish version)is not very reliable imo,I never read any exclusive here,so I´m not sure if this info is real.

As someone who speak french, i guess you could translate "Hype Train" to "Train de l'excitation" or "Train de l'anticipation".

It's hard to find the perfect word.

Difficult to get better than those two, since there is no exact french word for hype.

So what time is the conference at for a french Gaffer ? :p

It might take a while before they settle down to the price we'll actually pay on release day, though!

True. We usually get an extra £30-£40 added initally (over what the eurozone charges).

...and even when they settle, prices aren't as low as they should be. Most places are still charging £170 - £180 for the 3DS XL. Amazon UK sells it for £170 compared to £148/£152 at Amazon France/Germany.

I'm sure 250 euros will translate to most retailers sticking it at £229 (instead of the £199 it should be). I suspect 299 euros will translate to £269/£279 (instead of the £239 it should be). ...and then they wonder why UK sales have gone to shit.

From the Wii U thread:

Not a mistake

Nintendo Spain fucked it with the first email, they forgot to write about embargoes and shit. Two minutes later I got a message with the embargo thingy, until 4pm here in Spain.

So maybe they just took down the page after the second email.

Sounding like we get it officially in about 1h 15min.
THE HYPETRAIN LIVES!

Yeah, it's quite obvious that the article was taken down because of a broken NDA. If the news was simply false, they would have posted a clarification. You only take something down when a publisher wants you to take it down ... And when that's the case, whatever has been reported is normally true.

For anyone expecting a JPN ND, it's 9:49 here right now, so we may have to wait til tomorrow for confirmation, if one's coming. Would give NCL their beloved 24-hour warning, too.

It's hilarious that after GAME nearly went under this year they still let them decide the price. Like they know at all what sells.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

Let's see this Wii U. :D

Fake door.

Well, not a fake door, but a shitty cheap one. We had those kinds of doors at my school in the restrooms.
Ive seen more than one being punched through and/or teared apart like what the guy in that gif does. And Im talking about children doing it, you dont need much strenghth to tear one of those apart.
