Lol you think those things are going away after the election is decided? The whole reason they are even coming up is they are preparing the next load of attacks to make it look like President Obama isn't the legitimate winner so they can hate on him again after he is elected.
There isn't anything anyone can say that can genuinely convince me that the vast majority of the irrational hate on Obama isnt directly rooted to the color of his skin.

lol nothing. According to this poll Romney gained +4 since the debate (thus far), he was expected to get no more than a point or two.

5 day rolling average too, which means there had to be a drastic change towards the end of it, implying the debate is really doing a lot of damage to Obama's lead.

This happened after the first McCain debate too. Media wants a tighter race for better ratings so they call it for the "underdog," glazed-over public agrees, election happens and Obama wins.

Romney Recovery. Even before he gets in office. The job creators know he's going to help them so they're hiring again!

Fox News will be saying this by next week.

I think some people here should consult with their doctors about the possibility of getting a prescription for some anxiety medication.

lol, just got a Romney ad in the mail. "42 MONTHS of unemployment over 8%... A HAMMER BLOW to America's Struggling Middle-Class Families"

I just can't believe a guy that basically said 47% of won't take responsibility for itself and the 47% are nothing but a bunch of social parasites, gives a fuck about the middle class. What we saw in that room was the real Mitt Romney. What was on the debates was more shifting and more flip flopping. This guy would sell his fucking SOUL to be president.

Do you worry/overreact this much about everything or is it just politics?
I worry but politics always gets me in a tizzy. But I'm not trolling.

Next week can't come sooner. I need more polling showing that Bams survived this like some people think I need meds ;)

I found a gif of CS and Diablos:

It would be nice to see some NBC/WSJ, Quinnipac, PPP, ABC/Wapo polls.

Yea, I worry a lot. Because a Romney Presidency with a Republican congress will be disastrous. And if America elects him, he has all the right to follow through the BS policies. 2010 election won with lies, then 2012 again. Will be bad for American politics.

What is awesome is that I can't even vote in US elections! Yet...

yup

Do you guys have people that you specifically want to see Obama/Romney win to piss off?

For me (and again, I'm not a Democrat but I really dislike Romney) it's:

1. Rush Limbaugh

2. John Sununu

3. The Tea Party

4. Particular far Right people I know.

Who is it for you?

I'm sure Republicans will start ranting about how the data is bogus and rigged by Obama, but this is pretty much a disaster for Romney.

It's amazing to me that you said this as a joke, but it ended it being real. This country sometimes.......

all of my right wing Facebook friends. I don't care if I do have to work. Their tears will keep me awake.

Who's dismissing it? Maybe Romney gained some ground immediately after the debate.

So?
It's +4 for Mitt based on this poll, most people were anticipating +1 or 2.
It's just one poll but it's not a good first sign, particularly when it's a 5 day rolling average. That means a lot of negativity towards Obama came flooding in after the debate most likely.

Love that GIF.

Yeah, there is some panicking. It was a bad performance but you have to realize that some 92% or so of the people already have their minds made up. Obama has the edge with those people. Romney has to win almost all the undecideds in all the swing states to make up the difference. The debate hurt but it can be shrugged off in time. Today's unemployment numbers was definitely a boost to O. The Big Bird meme is oddly one of the big stories from the debate too and that is solid policy that reminds people why they don't (or do) like Mitt.

So that Reuters poll that everyone is dismissing. Why are we dismissing it?

I'm not really dismissing it -- it's clearly not good news. On the other hand, Gallup's one-point uptick means that Obama did at least minimally better yesterday than he did the same day one week before. So the verdict is mixed. Obama went right back to his previous lead in the RAND poll, also. PPP says the effect was minimal in swing states while We Ask America produced a set of numbers I find flatly unbelievable, so.

I don't think the position is really changed -- it looks like Obama's going to lose a few points on average, which we basically knew even before the debates happened, and it looks like that loss will not be enough to take him out of the commanding position he's in, which we also basically knew before the debates happened. Sure, it was a worse debate than I was expecting, but, again, Obama didn't do anything really bad, he just didn't do anything really good. Status quo ante -- Obama leads.

Meh. I don't like Schadenfreude.

OK, I will enjoy the bitter tears of racists, hardcore anti-gay people, skinheads, hardcore religious fundamentalists, and other real bottom-feeder people that just refuse to get along with other people for some reason or another. We all need to get along, even with people we disagree with.

I can hardly wait to see Hannity's fat, egotistical head blow-up. And most of the older folks in my family are racists, so with an Obama win, Thanksgiving would be very very fun.

Dunno if it's been posted, but apparently the question of if first sale doctrine applies to digital goods have finally reached an American courtroom. ReDigi, effectively a music industry equivalent to Green Man Gaming, has been sued by EMI who argues that first sale doctrine does not apply to digital goods. I suspect this might be the big one for people who want the right to resell their digital purchases, in the US at least (we already know the EU considers that you should be allowed to resell your digital goods).

So?
Well at least one person said "online poll" in a dismissive way, and all the others are literally laughing it away.

Anyone being a negative nancy is automatically grouped in the Diablos and CS party. But I do think that Poligaf as of late has been very stubborn in its optimism, perhaps as a reaction to the constant panic mode of Diablos and CS.

I suggest we all prepare ourselves for some shitty poll numbers the coming days. Just.... you know, keep it in mind and don't be blind to them.

The Reuters poll is troubling, as are the Virginia/Florida/Ohio numbers. I take heart in that the Rasmussen and Gallup polls are holding steady or gaining. So there's conflicting polls so far.

Honestly I think the unemployment news today will help create a wash and we'll have everything back close to equilibrium by this time next week.

The reason to be dismissive is because there isn't enough data to conclude anything yet and it doesn't even matter if polls shift a few points towards Romney
