For anyone who watched the PItt/Cuse game.... did Rushel Shell get hurt? He wasn't in the game at all in the second half (when I started watching).

Also, not that it matters, but dude who laid the BOOM on the Cuse DB was a true freshman. JP Holtz is a tank (glad the Syracuse player was alright). Just mentioning that because I'm a homer and the kid is from my area.

I also get Darius Rucker if I decide to rock the cowboy hat.... I'm pretty versatile I guess.

I'm attending a college football game tomorrow, yet I wish I were staying at home to watch multiple games on TV. I hope reliant stadium has free wi-fi so i can scoreboard watch on my itouch.

Fricken Aggies. Stupid QB play. #4 was open and he Kordell Stewarts the pass to the guy.

So, with BYU not being able to kick field goals...wouldn't the smart move have been to try and convert that 4th down? Even if you don't, how much worse are you defensively. Stupid coach.

Neither deserves to win. BYU's defense is good....but seriously...neither team won.

It's just one team sucked less.

BYU's defense is top 5 in the nation. SJSU could only score 12 against Navy. I think BYU is looking forward to being welcomed to San Jose.

I'm not saying BYU's defense isn't good. But don't expect San Jose to lay another offensive dud when they meet in San Jose.

It's not like Utah State didn't have the opportunity to move the ball when they simply went max protect and tried to pass from the pocket tonight. San Jose State has better receivers that Utah State, and they have a better throwing QB.

I look forward to BYU coming to San Jose and proving me wrong though.

On behalf of BYU fans everywhere, I apologize for that offensive output. Do not discount the defense though, Utah State is an explosive team and they were held in check all game long tonight. If USU had a decent kicker, they would have won at Wisconsin two weeks back.

I think BYU can do much better than that on offense. They were playing not to lose from halftime on, and it was irritating me to watch.

Edit: Of all teams left on the schedule, I'm probably least concerned by SJSU.

I'm saying Utah State's defense is also really good and SJSU's is not. So while BYU's offense might have looked bad (against a really good defense with a Freshman QB making his second start of his career in an instate rivalry game) they will score many more points against an average at best SJSU defense. I don't think SJSU can keep up against BYU's defense.

And you're saying Utah State's defense is even a little better than San Jose's because....what?

Actually...I'll be quiet. Even though I'm pretty sure Utah State's defense is NOT better than San Jose's, I can't say it for sure. I know the Spartans defensive secondary lacks size at the corners and good speed at the free safety spot. Maybe you're right.

Good thing we only have to wait 8 days to find out.

What's amazing to me about Utah State is they lost 2 guys to the NFL and are still competitive. Usually schools of that size don't sustain after losing their top talent.

I'm okay with it for my Orioles. They would have had to play a tie-breaker with the Rangers anyway, so the extra travel day in the new system helps out.

I do agree it's stupid that the Tigers got a 'bye' when both wild card teams had a much better record.

Now back to college football, where all post-season play makes total and complete sense.

Went out last night with my gf and her friends for her bday. Tequila shots were not a good choice, it's going to be a rough day in the shoe

Fortunately, I don't really seem to suffer from hangovers, so I haven't really developed a hangover cure. My general idea has always been some super spicy ramen, however.

I don't know if you will get many tears. The Gators are better than anticipated, LSU is worse. This is a game we figured would be like Alabama of the past few years, a no chance type of thing.

Also, the fucking Braves last night have turned my heart to fire, which I will breathe to burn Bud Selig to a crisp.
