Hey, Frankfurt is in the middle, lots of stuff happening there - no WiiU experience though. Funny considering Nintendo headquarters is near.

That's more southern than it is central. Still a 5-7 hour drive from where I live (wider Hannover area).

That's what flexitime is for. I have a business appointment in Cologne the day of the experience, I can simply prolong my stay (if I do win) but that's a big coincidence
.I have to agree though, only 4 cities, limited access, no weekend schedule etc. Not a good way to get this thing into people's hands. Maybe they will roll out demo units soon?
Hannover is as much north as Frankfurt is south, also you guys are responsible for the Scorpions so you don't deserve any music events and such ;p.

I bet the Zelda ones are Epona, Zelda, Link and Ganondorf.
Hope they also include Bowser D:, he is one of the most awesome and hilarious characters in Paper Mario series xD.

I'm sticking to imports from the UK as with all my game purchases.
Pay 45-50 EUR instead of 60 or even 70. Wait a week or two. The trade-off is worth it to me. I mainly use zavvi.com/thehut.com because they very often hand out coupons. Knowing what you may wanna buy and pre-ordering ahead of time when there are 10% off coupons floating around (that apply to pre-orders which has become rarer) is the cheapest way to get console games in Germany.
The only thing I'm buying in Germany is the Wii U itself (pre-ordered from amazon).
Alternatively, you could try and battle your way through GameStop's weird trade-in pre-order deals where you get a list of games they accept, buy the absolute cheapest ones somewhere on the net (must be German versions with USK ratings as they don't accept import trade-ins) and then only pay 9,99 EUR for one of the big new releases. A friend of mine has done that quite a few times.
Spielegrotte has extra shipping costs (and the additional 3,80 EUR for Eigenhändige Zustellung) if I understand that correctly. Zavvi/Thehut have free shipping.
Did something change in the last years? I haven't heard of Spielegrotte since about the beginning of the current generation, but the owner was known to be a huge asshole around then.
Hey, that's my GS! I wasn't sure if they were doing a midnight or not... kind of bummed but i'd rather get to bed early and be there first thing instead. They also told me the 14 pre-order thing. I'm number 3 (Deluxe)... or, was, they said they don't keep track once pre-orders are closed, which makes sense.
Taking Mon and Tues off that week. Yeah, it's that kind of launch. I have PTO to burn before i hit my cap.

With the scribblenauts thing and Wii u demo stations both being on the 17th...maybe a Nintendo direct this week is in the cards after all.

I was about come here and post that I suspecting Nintendo Direct this Wednesday but I guess people already speculating about it. I know we are overdued for bimonthly nintendo direct.
The Mercedes is probably more fuel efficient (without even trying). And it's probably quieter. And faster. But if you want to drive straight up the side of a mountain, the Hummer is the vehicle to choose.

Really? Only talking from my own experience here, never had a problem with them and the guy was always super-cooperative. Then again only ever had a problem with Zavvi once (which was resolved in the end) in over dozens of orders. Maybe I'm just lucky? I did get scammed over the ye olde shop two CC leak though.
Replace cheeseburger with Döner or Currywurst, Hummer with BMW or Mercedes and we are not that different. Although we like to burn our money to let others heat their home while we burn even more money to reduce the amount of money we burn to heat our house and then be all "eco" about it. That and our rap sounds like this.
they're two different games. presumably if a publisher/developer is making a new game and they want to sell it for 60 dollars they'd make it with enough content to warrant such a purchase.

$60 for it is wayyyy overpriced. You get basically the same game on iOS for $2 (well basically...)
That being said, the Ninty characters have me in at Day 1 ... and the pre-order bonus from gamestop is ADORABLE!
