People were complaining about IE. With a chatpad I think it is pretty useful.
I mean... It is IE.

Someone made a thread on the Waypoint forums when they first announced that IE was coming to Xbox, complaining about how it was a poor decision for Microsoft to chose IE over another Internet browser.

wat

Those extra 3 tracks are only available to people who bought the normal CD and not to those who payed the extra $60+?
It isn't mentioned for the Limited Edition at the page. But they did mention three exclusive Neil Davidge tracks for the standard edition. Fucked up in my opinion. I am buying the most expensive edition and should get all tracks with it. Sigh.

For a console.

Let's not forget that smartglass comes out this week as well. You can use your tablet/phone as a keyboard / mouse to control IE on your xbox. It's not the only app either. Major Nelson had a list of the games and apps that will use it at launch for those curious.

Old joke is old. Newer IE's are quite fast and useful/safe.

Ok retail exclusive shit is meaningless fluff for your character, but this Soundtrack Exclusive shit is ridiculous. So because I didn't buy a PHYSICAL copy of the album, I lose access to 3 songs? Because I didn't want to shell out $80 DOLLARS for a Limited Edition version of the Soundtrack, now I lose even more songs? This is the shittiest business practice in the world. Fucking hate exclusives that force me into buying certain versions of products. The baseline Halo 4 OST should have included ALL SONGS from the game, whether I buy digital or physical, standard or limited edition. Being punished because I prefer to buy my music from a certain retailer is straight up Bullshit. Yes, imad.

And I am not talking about the remixes, strictly game music from the Original Score.

Eh, any idea when was the last time we got news about Operation Chastity?
A Halo fan film. I guess Halopedia and others would state if it had been closed down (like Faith).
OC's news page isn't exactly ideal for following news about it...

You're not forced to buy anything. Don't like them ripping you off? Don't buy the product. The only reason they price them that way is because people will buy it at that price.

Halo 2's OST came on two different volumes. Halo Reach's OST didn't contain all the songs in the game. It's fairly standard practice. Get over it.

Just listen to it on Spotify. It's free.

I check MS offers from Xbox Dashboard (i'd save 0.33€ for buying a month of Gold), notice that beatiful Warrior armor avatar on OdysseysVA (damn you!) and naturally break my idea of not checking messages on gamertag (to avoid Halo 4 spoilers...).
Luckily, no such things.

Need to be more careful, just two weeks, i can do it without spoilers, right?

There are relatively few people who have not been affected by having features cut.

No Race and or VIP gametype to simulate Race.

Bizarre choices all around.

Don't get me wrong, Halo 4 looks amazing, but where it fucked up it seemed to fuck up hard.

Agreed. I mean, although with side stuff like this I can get over it a bit more (As opposed to the LE, Map Pass, Pre-orders, etc). Still, I wish the OST was just two discs and had all of the songs to begin with.

I like to own my music and always have it with me, Spotify is a no go.
Halo 2 soundtrack had 2 volumes, but those volumes were the same across the board. There wasn't different versions of them.
Your Reach argument doesn't even address my main argument.
I should get over it, but this practice is horrible.

The optimal solution is a 1-disc OST with one set of tracks, and a 2-disc one with a second disc of remixes. Then, maybe, a big deluxe edition for fans. No exclusive stuff for download vs. physical, etc. Just make a product and sell it to people. Don't slice it up into pieces.

Last night I highlighted and deleted the section I had for the Halo 4 pre order stuff in the OT. It was going to be larger than the overall game info summary (and I wasn't even covering it all, just trying to summarize!). 343 jumped the shark with this kind of stuff.

Campaign Screenshots was one of the things I was looking forward to most.

Why would they do all that work to make the game look so good and take away the theater for it?

So is this the final game type list (not sub-games, like Grifball, just the topline modes):

Slayer
King of the Hill
Oddball
Capture the Flag
Dominion
Flood
Regicide

That's what I have covered in the OT, but I saw a reference or two to another; I thought it might have been a Dominion variant.

FUCK, why can't Awakening be in the game? It's like, top three.

That track, followed by Green and Blue, would be suitable end credit music. For a very long credit roll. I think G & B might just be in end scenes though?

Nope, you launch everything from the first disc. Second disc contains MP content that needs to be installed similar to Forza. Disc one will launch the game and contain everything you need to play Halo 4.

And I'm guessing this will significantly cut down on the "one of the players failed to load map" issues in War Games down the road.

There's something called Extraction.

Halo 5 on the next xbox.

Believe.
I'm already finding myself really curious about Halo 5. I wonder how 343 will iterate upon their current design, what they'll consider to be successful with Halo 4, what they'll consider to be failures...

Had a dream about Halo 4...

what the fu
I had a short dream about it many many months back when we still barely knew anything about the game (what's changed amirite) and all I remember doing in it is moving around in a MP map. I spawned with a DMR and spitefully dropped it from the edge of the map when I found a BR.

Is Frankie playing Halo 4 online to bust some people or is he playing, because he is able to?

Edit:

Just saw the end of a Halo 4 TV commercial, here in Germany.

Edit 2:

If you pirate a game you created...does it count as stealing?

Good question. I would say yes, if you have a publisher, but if you own the full rights, I would say no.
