GAF Secret Santa 2012

Filled out my form, very excited about this idea.

This is my first time doing an activity like this with Gaf, hoping everything goes well.

I regret not getting in on this last year, because I like doing secret santa. I used to work at a place where we did it, and I would enjoy seeking out gifts for people I didn't know well like that. The place I work now, we don't do a secret santa, and it's kinda boring without it.

First timer, will out information later.

edit: Just filled out and submitted the form. Realized that I may have been a wee bit too broad on my form so I decided to add more information here to help whoever my SS is.

A) United States (Dublin, California)
B) I will ship domestic & internationally
C) Owns a PS3, iMac/PC. I've been doing most of my gaming on handhelds now that I've been working f/t. I particularly enjoy jrpgs like Pokemon, FF, Atelier and the Shin Megami (Persona) series.

I'm generally into most anime series, particularly KEY. I'm currently watching Sword Art Online, Muv Luv Total Eclipse, Little Busters! and chu2koi. If it helps, I collect anime figures and most other assorted anime collectibles.

I collect a lot of Blu-rays, although I get most of my anime releases through my contacts. The most recent Blu-ray purchases that I made were Cabin in the Woods and the Avengers.

Overall, surprise me.

Can't wait for this to start!

Form filled out. The option help out GAFers who get screwed is a great idea, I signed up.

Subscribing to thread, I'll keep tabs on it.

Secret Santas are always a blast to participate in, thanks for setting this up this year Nic. (Back to the front page this thread goes!)

Thanks!

Also, sorry I haven't responded to you folks who PM'd me. I've been out with my fiancée for the weekend getting things moved and organized, ha. I'll be getting back soon!

I'll be filling out the form soon... DONE
Got a bit burned in the sweet swap last year, so in 2 minds about this, but you know what? Can't get weird stuff from abroad if I don't try.

A) Germany (Europe)
B) I will ship domestic & internationally (prefer an international swap)
C) Gaming related stuff: big fan of Game Boy, gaming plushes are also good :) Generally into "weird" games (Fav games of the recent past has been Catherine, Bayonetta, Deadly Premonition, Papo Y Yo, Minecraft)
Non-gaming: Vinyl would be a great treat (I'm trying to increase my electro and nujazz collection, but surprise me if that's too specific) - In general any interesting music would be fun to have... Adventure Time is massively appreciated (No merc love for such craziness over here)
No clothing please!

I am happy to post to JP or US, I've been around EU so a domestic swap just wouldn't be so fun for me...

A) Guatemala, Central America
B) International.
C) I own a PS3, Wii and 3DS. I love Zelda and classic Resident Evil. Gaming related merch. would be amazing, since it is quite hard to find around here. I'm a big AC Milan fan. I wear S size shirts. I also like coffee a and Tea, I'm a bigger fan of the latter. It would be great if you could send me a little something from your country.

I'm not really picky, so shirts, CDs, games, plushes would be ok, but I'd like to receive things that I can't easily find around here.

I love to read and I speak Spanish, English and German. So that's another option.

Oh, and I'm a man lol

EDIT: I also love music, and I like to try new things as well, so some record of an underground band in your town would be a really nice touch.

I have seen this every year since its started, decided to give it a try. I just hope I can figure out what to get someone.

Just did a review of the form. So far so good - I have everyone on there as far as I can tell, and I've made the few revisions that people have asked for!

I'll make a note, but sadly, I cannot make promises. Given that you are OK with international shipping, you'll likely be paired as such.

I'm not running it anymore, but I'll gladly take part.

A) United States (Seattle, WA)
B) I'll gladly ship internationally or domestic. Doesn't matter.
C) I like Gundam and Macross stuff. Last year I got a Gundam coffee mug which I love. I'm a big fan of craft beer, but since it's not easy/legal to ship, a pint glass or some coasters from local breweries would be cool. I've got a PS3, PSP and DS of the more "modern" systems, and play games in both English and Japanese. My PSN username is Distantmantra if you want to check out what games I own. A Japanese iTunes card would be cool, to be honest.

A) United States (Minnesota)
B) I prefer to ship domestic but if it is necessary I could manage internationally too I think.
C) Gaming is definitely my biggest interest at the moment during my free time, especially Nintendo (getting a Wii U at launch). One thing that would be greatly appreciated that comes to mind would be MotionPlus for the Wii/Wii U. It could be either the cheaper plug-in MotionPlus or a full remote with MotionPlus built in. Zelda is a big favorite series of mine, although all Nintendo or big gaming series in general interest me so anything gaming-related is likely something I'd love. I also own a PS3 and 3DS. My biggest interest outside of gaming would be sports, specifically basketball. Clothing wise, my shirt size is a men's large.

Form filled and submitted. First time doing something like this so I'm pretty excited (heres hoping I don't get shafted).

It's not as bad as made out to be. Sure, there are always a few scummy folks who sign up and never follow through their end of the bargain...But hopefully, those who get the shaft will be taken care of by the Super Secret Santa Fund. :)

First, OP, if you decide you don't want to use Google Docs, I'll gladly set up a fillable web form for us to use. I have several domains I'm not using and it wouldn't take me more than 15 minutes to set up.

Second, is it considered uncool to just buy someone a gift on Amazon and have it gift wrapped?

1) Things seem to be going quite well with the Google Doc. It exports wonderfully to Excel, so I'm content at this point. If it starts to get shitty or whatever, I'll definitely get in touch. Thank you for the offer!

2) No, not at all. It's not as personal, but it's definitely fair game!

Sounds good, I submitted.

A) I'm in the US of A. Cleveland, Ohio, to be exact.
B) I'll ship internationally.
C) The best thing would be a donation to a charity in mine and your name, actually. Preferably an animal charity. But if someone wants to get something more tangible, art supplies like water color paints, brushes, paper, etc are always nice. Some sort of musical instrument type thing is cool, too.

I'm in ! Last year was fun ! Please let me have an hour to fill the form once I'm home. Can I get a reserved slot for the mean time ?

Edit : form completed !

1. France
2. Will Ship International
3. - I love games ! But I play on my PS3, a lot on PC lately.
- I love Geek stuff ! Any silly geeky nerdy gadget is a must have !
- I love art books ! But they are hard to get around here. Any game/animation artbooks is good.
- I love photography too. I really don't know what can come cheap around this hobby but you know, anything can be fun.
- I love where you come from ! I have a huge collection of postcards from very famous or obscure places around the world ! Maybe you can add yours too !

Just filled out my form.

This will be my first GAF Secret Santa experience, so let's hope it goes well.

Can't participate this year. Money is really tight and I can barely give a present to each of my family members, let alone anyone else :|

Amazon can send it gift-wrapped. Costs a few extra bucks.

In my humble opinion Amazon gift-wrap is just as bad as not wrapping. We all know it was just a couple extra bucks. The real joy in Gaf SS is the custom love you put into gifts. Seeing the pics of crazy wrap jobs etc. Not opening an Amazon box with Amazon gift wrap. My 2 cents.

I usually have the person's gift shipped to me, as I like to add little things before I send it off to the person in question.

Participating! Super excited, can't spend that much money because I'm a poor college student, but I hope that I'll find something nice for people. :)

I submitted my form, included my address in both Chinese & English, hopefully the SS will be able to figure out how to send the gift; I'm not really sure on shipping to China.
