Crytek: "For 300,000 signatures we might release TimeSplitters HD collection"

I can't believe that many people enjoyed Timesplitters? Game was average at best.

:lol Something about that gif makes me watch it like 20 times in a row every time it's posted. I think it's how his face changes the split second before raising his hand

I don't really like the first one but if I can do couch co-op in a HD-version of Timesplitters 2 it'll be so freaking awesome!

And also: trophies for the challenges fuck yeah!

This will never reach 300K. Timesplitters was a niche series, even though I liked it, well the second game at least, first and third sucked.

You can call me cynical but this sounds to me like a marketing campaign; I don't think software houses usually care about petitions the most of the times, and quite reasonably so as 300.000 signatures hardly translate necessarily into 300.000 copies.

Still, spreading the word around that a petition must be signed by 300.000 people could be a cheap viral marketing campaign, as much as I would tend to think they've made their mind already, if recent rumours are of any indication.

Ah fuck you Crytek, I'm sick of following your stupid hints, petitions and Facebook likes. 300,000 signatures for a damn HD Collection, are you guys insane? I love TimeSplitters as much as the next guy but I don't think I even care any more, quit wasting my time Crytek. Some idiot thinks signatures = sales, urgh.

You have a seriously warped idea of what sucks and what doesn't.

That said, I agree that this will likely never reach 300k. That's probably what they were thinking anyways.

Don't know if I would support it so I can't sign.

If PS3/360 only then I would skip it plus a maybe is to damn wishy-washy for my taste.

They said the same shit in 2008:

The latest issue of PSM3 magazine holds an interview with Free Radical head boss Dave Doak, and he says that "if we could drum up enough support," they'd remake TimeSplitters 2 in glorious high definition. If you want this to happen, you must send an e-mail to the address listed below; they've already received hundreds, but many more will be needed to make this dream become a reality. Chances are, you might see one of those online petitions on the subject before long, because it'd be a mistake to underestimate the number of TS2 fans out there. Doak didn't mention specific platforms, but we assume they'd make it for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as TS2 was available on both the PS2 and Xbox.

It won't happen.

I was still playing time splitters 3 until recently.
If only I could play it with a wiimote...
Now the petition talk after the facebook one, that's tiring.
They can't even get 100000 people for a new game, I won't bother with this fool's game.

Sure why not.

Signed, but not with a real name. Either they'll do it, or they won't. But I'm not putting my real name on an internet petition just to show them an interest.

I hate shit like that. Get 300,000 signatures and we might release our game.

Either do the game if it reaches the goal or just don't pull shit like that.

It's like they are doing us a favor selling us their game.
