GAF Secret Santa 2012

Already spent more than I was planning, and I still need to wrap and ship it. Also, got a little "homemade" something that's perfect to include.

I'm really psyched about this.
 
My TT and I have very similar interests. The hard part isn't figuring out what he likes, rather it's choosing what from dozens of different things I have in mind.
 
Got my assignment this morning and my mind has already been swirling about all the possibilities of gifts I could get. I'll probably end up sending more than I originally planned but that's part of the fun of Secret Santa I'd say!

Gift giving is my single favorite part of Christmas. Getting gifts is fun, sure, but giving makes me really happy!

Yeah, I went well beyond the suggested minimum so I hope my Tiny Tim really enjoys what I picked out for them. It's Christmas season so a few extra dollars spent to bring joy to someone is definitely worth it.
 
I must admit, having a little difficulty with my TT >_< Just not sure what would make them happy. Everything is so broad, that I hope whatever I can get will be ok. I've tried searching their posting history, and it didn't help much.

If you're having trouble finding a gift maybe you can enlist someone who isn't your TT to help you out with ideas?
 
Well it's less a home made gift and more a poorly written novella, but it's totally relevant to the main gift I'm getting them.

Ah hell, I'll include it anyway.
 
Main order has shipped to me, now I just need to format and print out my terribad fan fiction magnum opus.

Um... Open to suggestions to how to go about that. It's just over 30K words, so I don't want to just print this out at home. But I don't want to shell out for vanity publishing either unless it can be done way cheaper than I think it can.

I'm also doing home made items! Nothing fancy or art related (working on three sculptures for grad school at the moment really makes me want to stay away from any sort of painting or drawing project) but I hope they like it!

So super excited! RobertM is having a horrible time with his TT, the guy didn't give him much to work with, so I'll probably be making things for him too! :)
 
Maybe next year's Secret Santa form can have something that you can mark so that you can avoid getting paired with or want to get paired with someone who writes things like "I'm fine with anything." on their forms.
 
Post copy/pasted into word doc for future use! I don't want to upset or offend anyone. :P

PS - there will be a feedback form when all is said and done. I want honest opinions/ideas/feedback/experiences that we can take and use to make this better next year and future years!

I almost had a difficult time with my Tiny Tim, but I saw one particular post that sealed the deal for what I am getting him this X-mas.
 
Just wanted to add a little to what Nic said. We are fielding a lot of requests from Santas who want to do a good job and would generally like some guidance. It's not too late to go back and edit your FIRST post in this thread to include a little more information if you didn't put anything meaningful in your form. At this point people are shopping so you might not end up with anything you stick in there, but it's still a nice gesture that would be helpful to Nic, me and Santas everywhere.

Santas: these pms are not a problem and tend to get a response, so if you need help, send a note to whoever sent you your Tim.
