I was counting the 800k.
pc gaming dead again?

This thread is now about the PC numbers lolz. How can it be that low?
only 560 people on WiiU, 640,000 on 360.
The pc numbers are irrelevant. There's no proper way to track the stats. idk how many times it needs to be repeated in this thread.

Do you think if Activision would have released it across all platforms today instead of when they did that the numbers would have been bigger? I think the main reason there are not a bunch of people on it is because most have already purchased it and no one in their right mind would purchase it twice right?
According to the leaderboards there are about 4607 people...but that also includes the Wii U systems with multiple accounts.
People like to play games on real consoles.
Kinda surprised the 360 and PS3 numbers are so close. I expected the 360 to have a larger share of players.
There are less players on Steam top20 online than on CODBLOPS2 on 360? Huh.PC gamers have other shit to play.
Also, Totilo failed to realize that BLOPS is split into multiple executables on PC; Zombies and Campaign therefore have separate stats.
(da fuck is the ValveTestApp?)

So much fun. I've got both the 360 and Wii U versions. I'm using the Wii U version on the gamepad when I'm in the bedroom or on the toilet(YES) and then flip back over to 360 if I'm going to be in the gameroom for extended periods.
Only weird thing was the default control scheme on Wii U was completely different than the HD Twins. Had to change the controls to classic.
This is when PC gamers begin to realize why they're not the center of the gaming world anymoreThere are less players on Steam top20 online than on CODBLOPS2 on 360? Huh.
Well...kind of expected for a game console that was only released a day ago. And exactly how many people is needed in order to reach critical mass?
That's pretty damn brutal when you think about it.There are less players on Steam top20 online than on CODBLOPS2 on 360? Huh.

Still pretty disappointing.
So there are still tons of PC players who play, let's say, Assassin's Creed brotherhood?Pretty disappointing as a console gamer, not a PC gamer. I'm so glad there is PC gaming support for practically everything.
Every time I play a year or older game on PS3 or 360, there is barely anyone online. It gets frustrating when you buy the game late, and is one of the reasons why everyone buys a game day one, so that they can enjoy the "super bowl"-esque spectacle before the party is over.
Disappointed in console gamers where only a game like COD can have such number while 10+ year old PC games will still have loads of players.
I was playing Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero on Xbox 360 launch day seven years ago and there sure as fuck were more than 560 players per title.
Let's face it, for people to start thinking of a Nintendo system as an online shooter platform is going to require a paradigm shift.
that is low, launch titles usually have bout 3-6 thousand, still early days but it is very low
no sales numbers yet
Of course not, and anyone citing numbers is probably just making up bologna.Do we have historical data for launch titles online?
Free online gaming, DD incentives, miiverse and others could be enough to push them farther than they have been.
Also as of last night I noticed there was more than 560 peeps online... so this thread is sort of misleading.
wow, it's like the system only came out 2 days ago.
Isn't this the start? 360 had live before it. You are just looking at Nintendo 8 years late and after 2 other competitors have had years to work on their online service.

Or will they always be 8 years behind since Sony/Xbox will always look to improve...
You're setting expectations low. You don't expect a brand new cell phone service provider to provide talk without voicemail, data, etc.
If anyone want numbers to laugh at, check out how many people are using the in game console live streaming feature.
