Man those figures are great, I had a watermelon suit plush one from Freedom Unite and my dog ATE IT.

Interestingly, it managed to just eat it's costume first... somehow, then I put it back up higher, then it just managed to get it back down and ate the whole damn thing.

Well, they could make it so that there's an indicator on the post saying it's an animation with only the first frame showing and it would only load up the rest of the frames if you tap on the image/post.

So.. I have an online ordered wii-u scheduled to be delivered later this week but I was just at walmart picking up some things, checked out their electronics department for the heck if it, and it just so happens I arrived shortly after their wii-u supply was restocked

I couldn't resist.. I'll be seeing if any of my friends are interested in buying my second deluxe at cost when it gets here, or if not i'll hit up craigslist or something

As for the system impressions, black is very nice looking (boo to the glossy finish thoug, boo I say.)

Setup has been painless so far. Recognized my tv, remote, and wifi internet immediately on the first try. Didn't have to resort to entering my connection information manually as others have apparently had to.

Downloading the system update now. 10~ minutes in and it's already about a quarter completed, probably not such a timely download now that the launch day bandwidth rush has died down.

Can't wait to get this baby patched up and ready to play! My newegg order with zombiu, nsmbu, and sonic racing should be here tomorrow. Nintendoland multiplayer with my wife will do just fine in the meantime.

When you sort all eshop software by popularity, Nano Assault is no.1 followed by Trine 2 and then NSMBU.

Kinda surprised by that order. Hopefully this bodes well for eshop sales as a whole.

Yep. I bought the arcade slim 360 just to get the matte finish, and then added a large HDD I got off eBay. Glossy black is the worst, especially on a controller that's only going to look like shit with smeared fingerprints all over it.

Well, my kids should have a good Christmas. Secured myself a black Wii U at Wal-Mart tonight. Did in store pick up--ordered on Sunday and they sold out. No idea how I lucked out and had someone put one out back for me on launch day for store pickup. When I walked out tonight it was in a see-through bag and eyes were on me a bit. I had to drive about 40 miles to this one Wal-Mart that I was lucky enough to secure a Wii U but I'd say it was worth it.

Now just to pick up NSMBU and get some Wii controllers and we should be good to go.

After being charged three times for one Wii U console, Gamestop.com successfully managed to ship me one. But their ace customer service team made up for nearly $1,200 in charges to my card by offering me a $20 coupon, so it's a-okay.

In short, never ordering from them ever again.

Just a little heads up for people still looking for the system- don't always believe the person if you call into a store to see if they have any left. I went out to one wal-mart that said they had one premium left but by the time I got there it was gone. After that I just decided to stop by a different Wal-Mart even though the lady said there was none left and lo and behold they had three basics and one premium which I snagged.

Quick question about the deluxe model and bonus points from the eshop:

So if you bought a deluxe model and order stuff from the online shop/eshop, you supposedly get 10% of your purchases back in store credit. How does the eshop know whether you are buying from a deluxe model or not? Is it somehow reading your serial number or is there more setup that needs to be done? I haven't bought anything from them yet, but I do have a deluxe model.

It exists. All you can check is the duration of play for each title either for a certain day or for a certain month. It's not nearly as deep as the one on 3DS.

I can finally play Wii U again since yesterday I was studying for a Immunology test and when I turned it on I got an awesome surprise, the Warawara plaza is finally working with Miiverse and it's soooo fucking awesome!!!! I <3 my Wii U!!!! No problems with my system so far!
