So with most of 2012's holiday games already released, this is probably a good time to reflect on the new virtual dudes/ladies/animals/robots that made your past year as a gamer worth it! (or at least tried.)
While not technically a creation of 2012, Sakurai's flawless reinvention of Lady Palutena for Kid Icarus: Uprising means she might as well be. I've heard a lot of bitching about Uprising being too hard to play, but if those one-liners can't motivate you to pull through I dunno what possibly could.
"We may not have the best dental plan, but justice is on our side!"
(I wish I could also mention someone from Paper Mario: Sticker Star, but that game doesn't have any actual characters. The Green Toad Philosopher from Outlook Post counts, I guess...?)
