We still don't know how long each episode is going to be. I'm assuming a full 30 minutes since there's no commercials?

I hope this means they're getting even further away from the 1-character-focus-episode device in the original plan.
Why? There's no ads. I'm assuming they will run it like an HBO production, and use the extra time.
Well maybe it's not like they were begging to have to fill more time. A 30 minute episode is written quite differently and it could be harder to shift the show to that format. My personal guess is that they'll be 25 minutes.

There's also no timeslot to fit into around other programming. They don't have to work to any rigid duration... so they'll probably stick with the usual size.

I hope they don't have a standard length. If an episode ends up 30 minutes, that's fine. If it's only 22, that's fine too.

I'm seriously reconsiderin my atheist after that news.

Also, I bet it'll be close to 22mins to keep it similar to other AD eps/other sitcoms on Netflix.

Lilyhammer episodes are about 45 minutes, which is what a typical hour-long drama runs. Makes me think Arrested will probably be 22 minutes.

What I'd really like to see, though, is 30 minute episodes with commercial break; only the commercials would be in-world commercials for things like the cornballer and whatever else they could come up with.

Lillyhammer was shot for broadcast in Norway, it's only exclusive to Netflix in the US.

I'm keeping my expectations for S4 pretty realistic; if it's at S3 level quality, I'll be pleased. As long as it doesn't retroactively make the other seasons shit, it should be fine.

with the amount of ideas the writers and Mitch have probably fantasized about post-cancellation or had on hold before cancellation, there is honestly no way this will suck

Those carts...
*yoink*

I've been in the dark so far as the new season goes, but I the thread has been getting action. Great news and great fanwork. Glad I did pop in.

Holy crap, I'm so excited for this. The greatest TV show of all time is coming back with a bang. I can't wait!

There is a small part of me that wishes that they would "air" one episode a week or something along those lines, instead of releasing them all at one time. Just so we have some time to really take in each episode, time to get on here and to talk about it and post funny gifs and pictures and all of the other stuff we used to do. It will be very overwhelming to release them all at the exact same time.

But whatever they do I'm just glad it's back. Bring it on!

Nothing but the strictest mod control will be necessary for the Season 4 OT.
