Those pics looked compressed but I get the point. Looks nice enough and them videos look buttery smooth. That's the first game play I've bothered to even look at and it looks alright. I'm interested at least. If it's 60 then definitely not.

Even at YT's 30fps, those videos are absolute butter compared to the console versions, and I thought those ran well enough.

Also, AMD's doing one serious push to make sure devs are on their side.

Definitive version once someone creates a mod that actually makes Style ratings work like they did in every other DMC game. (And a few other things.)

It'ss authenticated separately on the steam version of the game from steam and xbox.com marketplace. So you can accidentally end up buying the same content twice or if ever locked out from gfwl, would have your gfwl specific dlc unusable unless bought again through steam. For the steam version, any dlc bought through gfwl also has to be specifically downloaded/installed separately outside of steam itself.

I'm still a bit confused. IIRC, GWFL games vary a bit on how DLC works. For Arkham City and original SFIV I believe, you could buy the DLC from GFWL marketplace and it's recognized in the Steam version, but not for SFIVAE. (and SFxT) I assume. I never understood the difference.

the MTFramework ones are in-house, that's why they are gfwl.

They've had several non-MTF games which are GFWL (Dead Rising 2, Operation Raccoon City and a few more). This is their first steamworks game since Lost Planet 1 (random trivia: that was actually the first non-valve game to use steamworks).

Sven from Capcom USA was talking about a special announcement regarding PC version of RE6 (I think he mentioned this as far back as September or October). I'm gonna bet the special news is that RE6 PC will be steamworks too.

DMC has traditionally been a late winter/early spring release. I'm sure they want as much time to themselves as possible before GOW:A, too.
I think he's referring more to the fact that the PC version is releasing so soon after the console ones (the PC versions of DMC3 and 4 didn't release anywhere near this close to their console counterparts).

Couldn't they just swap the DMC4 model in and call it a day?

I have no clue what PC modders are capable of these days. The question is, will someone actually go through the effort without making it bad. I can imagine animation and hitbox weirdness in a half assed attempt.

Yes they will. It's possible and they'll make it possible. Give it one month.

Can a mod obilirate the thread and add screens, videos and info to thread title like Steam, 60fps? :p

"This isn't a great display of the PC version since the footage is 720P at the highest setting and 30FPS. Demo, please."

GamerSyde usually comes through with high quality, 60fps videos. Someone said they're working on uploading one.

You know...it's inevitable that DMC4's Dante model will be modded in this game.

Considering how hard it is to mod UE3 games, I don't think this will happen. Outside of UE3 games with an official SDK, modding is usually limited to ini edits or texmod. Which is a big shame considering how many games use UE3.

RE6 PC should become very moddable at least.

To be fair, the PC version of DMC4 wasn't being worked on till the tail end of the console version's development. As for DmC, they had another studio working on it for nearly a year now. Plus, it's running on UE3, which is a natural fit for PC. So the shorter turnout time isn't that surprising.

Unless you're referring to something else.

The real question is: where the hell is RE6? DmC's turn-around is blazing compared to the wait I've been doing for that one. I, honestly, thought I'd be waiting much longer.

Awesome.

I honestly wasn't interested in this on the consoles because of the framerate business. I will definitely give it a try on PC, though.

Why did they pick this game to finally clean up their PC act?

What have they missed besides Dragon's Dogma (which is a massive and egregious exclusion)? RE6 is still on the way, right?

SFxT PC was released several months later and *still* doesn't have the latest version patch that the consoles have had since like July. Also doesn't have the DLC characters from almost 6 months ago, either.

*Still*.

Damn, I really wanted to get this day 1, and was trying to convince myself to wait for PC release instead.
This makes it easy.
