DmC coming to PC January 25th

To be fair, the PC version of DMC4 wasn't being worked on till the tail end of the console version's development. As for DmC, they had another studio working on it for nearly a year now. Plus, it's running on UE3, which is a natural fit for PC. So the shorter turnout time isn't that surprising.

Unless you're referring to something else.
To what else would I be referring?

Aren't there GFWL games with some Steamworks features like the Rocksteady Batman titles?

I mean it'd be great if Capcom moved on from that shitty stillborn mess of a platform but let's not jump the gun here.
yea that is why i am waiting to see.hope they finally moved on.

I don't know. What I said was just first thing that popped into my mind.

I want to see them mod in DMC4 Dante, hahaha

I'd imagine putting him in would be really jarring, considering they're from two very different game, stylistically.

Since when has Capcom listened to the consumer?

They just put the game on Steamworks. Isn't that worth something?

Why? This has been a contentious title. Why wouldn't do something like this for the game?

Because history has shown otherwise. I think my shock is valid. Complaints to Capcom generally fall on deaf ears when it comes to financial decisions.

They're being very generous to this title with publicity, marketing, and timing. Moreso than their internally developed titles.

Not really interested in this game but it's good to see capcom giving more respect to the PC side with closer releases and steamworks.

SFxT PC was released several months later and *still* doesn't have the latest version patch that the consoles have had since like July. Also doesn't have the DLC characters from almost 6 months ago, either.

*Still*.

Apparently it's getting 2013 patch. Which I'm assuming will include the new characters.

I'm waiting for that before I buy. Hopefully it's available for 12 or under again during holiday sale.

"What have they missed besides Dragon's Dogma (which is a massive and egregious exclusion)? RE6 is still on the way, right?"

RE5 never got the Gold DLC content and probably never will at this point.

For what it's worth, the boxart shows no signs of any GFWL crap. I've tweeted the DmC guys, maybe we'll get an official confirmation.

Huh? I said they were good changes.

But as opposed to talking about the changes positively, you came at the subject from the angle of "oh my god! I can't believe capcom actually did the thing that people like, why in the world would they do this all of a sudden?"

Okay, man. You read whatever you want to read. Calling them "good changes" apparently doesn't qualify as a positive statement now.

I don't know why there is so much vitriol in this thread already. This is some excellent news. PC version coming MUCH earlier than expected and its coming on Steamworks. This is the best treatment Capcom has given to a PC version yet. Let's just hope that the PC version isn't marred with technical problems.

Most of UE3 are very polished and runs great, the only problem I found so far is inconsistent FPS on SLI config.

The name. And Capcpom.

The PC is short on brawlers so I'll take what we get. At least it will look damn good.

Which you had to be coaxed into based on someone calling out your first statement, that you quickly had to offset. Just saying, if it was your objective to come into this topic to say something positive about some pretty good news, you didn't seem to do a very good job of it.

I apologize for not meeting your expectation of elation.

Anyway, to speak to things that actually matter. Hopefully this will be indication of a universal change in business practices for Capcom... Steamworks specifically for soon to be released PC titles like Dragon's Dogma or RE6.

This is awesome news. I hate having to wait for the delay between PC and console release. Now where is my news about Sonic Racing Transformed and RE6 coming to steam.

i hope they remove gfwl from older titles like RE5.or re release it as RE 5 gold edition with steamworks.

I don't see that happening. It'd be nice, though. Capcom's actual PC ports have been ace, despite them being belated, GFW, and without support.

Has that ever happened in the history of GFW titles?

The dev of Toy Soldiers went back and removed GFWL in favor of Steamworks, iirc

Looks so much better at 60 fps. I'm so jelly, I must say.

Yes, it looks REALLY, really amazing. I wonder if my pc is going to be able to run it, though.
All I want is 1440*900, no AA, 60fps.
