So I just learned pornography is illegal in South Korea

Man, that's crazy. That's like some third world country type shit. Are sex toys illegal too? What about public nudity? I can't even imagine an internet without porn.

A law recently passed which was pretty much designed to stomp out.porn.

Also you can go to jail for indulging in child pornography if you watch or see pictures that have people wearing school uniforms fuck. Even if the actors are adults.

While that's extreme, they loosely have the right idea. The idea being the discouragement of the fetishization of underage girls. Though perhaps they do that in response to Japan.

Mogef is a pos. They're the jolly folks who pushed to get rid of fucking snacks just because they have the word nude in them. They're the embodiment of 'won't someone please think of the children'

They're also one of the few feminist groups that actually are an ultra radical strawman group who are on a crusade to fuck over men. They actually pushed to raise the length of the military service which is mandatory for every adult man to 7 years. So much for equality, eh?

At first I disagreed with you, but reading your explanation kind of sways me. There really isn't much to redeem school girl pornography.

That is... man, I don't even where to start. That's like saying porn is responsible for pizza delivery men being invited into orgies, or really anything of that nature. Let me ask you this, if a person jerking off to a person pretending to be in their teens pretends that they too are in their teens while their masturbating is it still wrong?

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, how can that loosely be the right idea?

well at the most extreme, I think there is porn out there where the porn companies digitally alter 18 year olds to look underage. It's technically legal (in some countries) as the women aren't children.

The thing is, it doesn't necessarily have to involve sex. Anything remotely sexual applies to the law, and the standards for what applies as sexual is... strict. Very very strict.

The funny part is that even if you aren't an adult and a minor yourself you're liable to the law too.

For the sake of comparison, what are the redeeming qualities possessed by other pornographic material?
I don't know, but I feel the argument also works for stuff like rape porn. I don't agree with prosecuting it or even banning it, but the idea that school girl porn fetishizes underage girls isn't really that unreasonable of a statement.

That's why I agreed with him saying loosely. I don't agree with how they're going about it, only the idea of discouraging it.

Well, right, the idea isn't bad in principal but they're doing it in the worst way possible and some.

And that still doesn't account the fact that watching any porn is kinda risky now

Hmm....that raises a good point that I have never seen a Korean porn movie or know any Korean actresses. Well, cross off living in South Korea from my list.

I'm pretty sure the right idea is to not let actual children be harmed. Arresting people for playing make believe is the very definition of thought crime.

This could be one of a number of reasons why South Korea leads the developed world in suicide rates by a wide margin. Of all the world's nations, it's second only to Lithuania in suicides per 100,000 people.

South Korea also is one of the leading countries among the developed world in average hours worked. In 2011, the average South Korean worker clocked over 2,000 hours, and while that number is on the decline, it's still over 200 hours ahead of the United States.

thanks for the laugh
create a gattaca race of surgically perfected females, make porn illegal.

no wonder the suicide rate is where it is.

First they took our vidya gaems at night and now they took our porn and they make us only work/study. Shit's depressing man.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Uh... not everyone who wears a uniform is underage.

As if there was any relation.

And I agree with Kitsune. Sides, the school girl outfit is hot.
Yes it is.

Also, I had no idea that the schoolgirl outfit means "sexualizing children". You can't compare a everyday underage girl with a common school uniform to a grown up woman with a raunchy schoolgirl outfit that shows cleavage for example.

Unless of course it's something like Evey from V for Vendetta, then it is somewhat weird.

Comes to think of it, of all the asian porn i've watched i hardly can recall anything korean except for some amateur video :/

I still remember the public bj on the metro that happened like 3 years ago though, that one was awesome lol

Brobzoid

how do I slip unnoticed out of a gloryhole booth?
[...] the military service which is mandatory for every adult man to 7 years.

whut. how in gods name does that work? I understand Korea is technically at war, and have been for quite a while, but that's surely quite a hindrance to education/career opportunities.

will gently cradle you as time slowly ticks away.
Now what I am going to use my cheap unlimited 100Mb connection for?!

I remember downloading like 200GB of porn in one weekend in Korea. It was during one of GAF's "Contests" too, believe it or not.

I'm not advocating people be arrested, hence why I called it extreme. There's a difference between something being done in the confines of the bedroom and something being made as a product.

I assume you are picturing American/European style schoolgirl porn and not the Asian style. Though I still find the former on the creepy side, just not as much as the latter.

There wasn't any logic behind it. They just have a massive chip on their shoulder.

I don't see any problem here, it's a win-win situation

you are horny? well the government gives you two options:

1) you can fornicate

2) you can spend money on items wich are kinda related to sex but not directly (sexy/aggressive advertisements, forms of packaging, idolization of the body, if you're sexy->you're succesfull) , giving you a panacean effect of satisfaction.
