GAF Secret Santa 2012

Should probably update!

I posted to my tiny tim last week. In an ideal world it will arrive in time for xmas, but with Royal Mail I severely doubt it. If it is delayed hopefully it won't be too far from xmas! :(
 
I did receive my SS present (on my birthday no less) but I'll have to edit out the names on the postage label before I post the pick.

So nicoga3000 can put me on the TT list I guess.

Yes, it is. I'm going to go through my PM's, but we're going to need some confirmation in this topic at some point.

If there's a PM or post with info on you having sent your gift and your TT doesn't post here, he or she will be put on the Black List for next year, simple as that. There is ONE person who doesn't need to post here with gift confirmation (I've already spoken with him), but otherwise, everyone really needs to post here.
 
I received my gift in the mail last week, can't remember if I posted or not so I guess I'll just post again to be safe in confirming it. Had some trouble in sending out the gift to my TT but hopefully it (and the card) arrive safely in a reasonable amount of time.

I have been busy with my finals week, but I have received my gift a couple of days ago. Hopefully, my TT has their package as well since the USPS website has had it at Out for Delivery since the 15th.
 
Historically the unwrapping frenzy is kept in the same thread, it makes it easier to find and follow and avoids thread fragmentation.

Nothing yet for me, I used my work address as there's always someone there to receive a parcel 8-8 every day, whereas my apartment block has no mailboxes - things are just left by the door. I'm at work until Friday then the college shuts down until 2nd January so if nothing arrives in the next two days it'll either be returned to the sender or lost in the postal system.
 
I sent my gift out the beginning of December. It had a long way to go, still hoping to see my TT post so I know it arrived. Of course I was shipping out some other stuff and forgot to get the tracking number for the package.
 
Added the few of you who confirmed to the list!

If I've missed anyone or you guys have info otherwise, please let me know. I want to make sure that I don't screw someone over come purge time (which still won't be revealed until a certain date).
 
Sent my tt his gift a few days ago. Haven't received mine yet but I'm not worried. I wait til near the last minute every year, would expect no less from my santa :P.

Thanks again for setting this up. Gaf secret santa is excellent, nothing but wonderful experiences so far.
 
Mine arrived a couple weeks ago...already opened it, but I have no willpower in anything else either haha.

I also just sent mine off, dropped a couple extra bills so it gets there monday. That's what I get for waiting so long. Plus side is I was in and out of UPS way faster than I would have been at the post office.
 
While it's not nearly as fun to not receive your gift on or before Christmas, if you've at least it out and have confirmation as such, you're OK.

well i literally just realized that monday is christmas eve....time fucking flies!! when the guy asked me if i wanted it there before christmas, i didn't quite understand that christmas is tuesday lmao.

I received my great gift from Cherubae.

I'll add pictures when my brother i done with my camera.

He got me Mario Yahtzee (Didn't know such a thing existed, but it's awesome), A cup in ball (which is surprisingly fun, haha), shoelaces (different colors and light up ones!), tons of foreign candy (the ice cream kit kats are AMAZING, haven't tried anything else yet, and a $20 PSN card to buy Chulip with!

As for my TT, I intended to send out last week but didn't write the address so had to wait until today to get unbanned to get it! Really sorry if it doesn't arrive by the 25th!
 
Does post office mail even get delivered on Christmas eve? I don't remember. Seems like Post office workers take off any minor holiday they possibly can, so it'd be surprising that they would deliver anything on that day. That's why I've been assuming that there's only 3 mailing days left after today.
 
There are a few people in here who haven't received gifts who I have tracking numbers for. Sorry folks, I haven't had much gaf time and have really only been responding to anxieties about missing gifts via PM. If you still haven't gotten yours and you're worried, shoot me a pm and I will look into it. I just put together a list of tracking info. I even checked it twice!

Incidentally, I received a mysterious package from Paris today. A heavy one, at that...I hope Santa didn't break the bank shipping this puppy!

Waiting on the family before I crack it open...I will try to get some pics up tonight. :)

Edit: USPS does deliver on Christmas Eve. I am not sure if there is an issue here in other countries, though.

Will do. I will pick through them this afternoon. Sorry I have been absent of late. I will be around more in the run-up to the big day. It's nice that we've been able to kind of trade off thread-hovering duties though. :) How distantmantra did this solo I have no idea.
 
Nobody's getting burned this year. Some people might get late gifts - a couple might be quite late if we have to gather the Tim fund - but barring some disastrous quantity of deadbeats it's not going to be an issue this year.

Yeah, I am much the same way. Though I admit that I am quite excited to see my Santa turned out to be in Paris!

As echo said, we have a system in place this year to prevent people from getting burned. :) If someone doesn't get their gift by the Black List date (which will be revealed in the near future), the Tiny Tim fund will kick in.

How much is in the Tiny Tim fund? I mean I hope it's enough to potentially cover at least 10 people not getting anything.

It's empty at the moment. During signups, we asked who would be willing to participate. If we need to put one together, echo and I will be PM'ing folks asking for donations of any size. The money will go to a new PayPal account designed specifically for this. Anything leftover will carry over to the next year (or be donated to a charity).

Priority shipping but I didn't get tracking. I'm not that concerned. It's been years since the person I got actually came back to the thread and said something about the gift.
