Why can't i configurate the keyboard controls? I'm not a fan of the current layout as I can't acess both the map and the sled without moving my hand around.

Personally I prefer to jump with the up arrow and would have liked for the sled and map to be bound to z and x.

Just got my code, thanks very much!

I will play this with my 2.5 year old daughter when I have some time over Christmas. It will be her first game.

Played through it yesterday and it's really good. Captures that childlike magic of exploring and adventuring in your own backyard (so to speak) perfectly.

Graham is a great kid! We worked with him closely in our recording of this. We got him to jump on and off his bed at home to see what sounds he might make when jumping and landing. Once we get some photos of the launch party I'll post them so everybody can see :)

Thanks for the suggestion!

The sound effects are truly sublime. I love the sound of Marvin bounding out of his house every morning. These are not easy things to get right (seriously).

Honestly, my only complaint after finishing it up after a couple of hours was that I wish there were.. more. I think you definitely made the most out of a collecting-snowflakes game :) but everything is just so extraordinarily polished and charming and so nice to just play around in that one wishes an even bigger game were attached to it. But I certainly understand the limits of developing an indie game with a small team and not going broke in development. :) And also that you were trying (successfully) to make a game that literally everyone can play.

So, kudos--I jumped in on the offer because I'm a moocher who likes free things, and also to support a GAF dev, but I honestly did not expect something with this much obvious and remarkable talent behind it. It's kind of an unassuming, modest, wintry tour de force.

Oh, and the story could easily be turned into a successful children's picture book. It's perfect. In fact, you should kind of maybe look into that.

Games that I don't have to worry about my 5 - 7 year old friend's kids getting frustrated with are a diamond in the rough. Would love to see it on every platform. OS X and iOS primarily though :p. More often than not I'm at the kids parents houses and I have a Macbook and iPad. Still somethin for them to chill out on my PC when they're over is excellent. It goes without saying that I'll probably enjoy it too from the looks of things.

I really loved the shortcut system in the game. I only wish the last few ones were better integrated to make it possible to sled through the entire circuit. Really nice and relaxing game overall though.
I love getting all colorful at the end. I'm still missing that darn bat sketch though.

Thanks for the code. I sure as heck believe in magic now! What a game. I'm still working my way through it, but man, this is a lot of fun. And this is coming from someone who normally isn't too interested in non-traditional games.

Back to collecting snowflakes!

Just finished it. The game is magical. Adorable art and the voice acting is just perfect. This would have made a perfect addition to the latest Humble Bundle, I think. Thank you for the code!

Some amazing feedback in here! Thanks to everyone for taking the time to post. It's really cool to see so many people loving their little adventures!

Wow, thanks! And yeah, getting any sound right is supremely tough. We are really happy to have a Breakfall team member, Mike Keogh, that knows so much about it. Every piece of music or sound effect was iterated on and polished over and over. We even all tag-teamed some neat ideas like having the Elf Camp music be a location-based thing that gets softer as you move away from it.

Fun fact - the elf camp music is comprised of 3 different elf themes that were specifically designed to work together as one great track. If you listen closely it has all three themes in one - the digger elf, the flyer elf, and the cocoa elf theme. You can hear them specifically come together in the OST on bandcamp actually! Here's the link directly to the elf themes so you can see them come together.

There are loads of little stories about the development of this game :)

Haha, just beat it. Pretty fun. Now let's see what is offered up for post beating the game, gameplay.

Edit: Just one comment I wanted to make. When you save from a pot, does the game save at that point, or is the data in fact saved after hitting space when you are asleep and dreaming? My intuition says the latter since I closed the game one after not hitting space to save while asleep and I think I lost some data I wanted saved. Perhaps also save the game when the player hits to save at the big pot?

I started to play and loved the art style. However, gotta get windows back on my gaming PC so there isn't a delay between button presses and actions.
