My family and I completed opening our presents, and I wanted to jump onto this thread to tell my Secret Santa, Gryphter, that I adored his presents and heartfelt letter.

I laughed pretty hard when I got Gamer as a present, it was even better because the wrapping was Gamer too. I guess I finally have a reason to watch this supposedly awful film. I hope I won't get eye cancer. This was the first present I opened, so I had no idea if the rest would be gag gifts.
Then I realized Gryphter became serious when I opened my next present, The Lost Room. I have no idea if I ever heard of this show before (I thought it was a film before I read his letter). I feel like I heard of it from somewhere. However, how you desrcibed this show sounds like I will fall in love with it.
As an aside, my family were giving me weird looks because I decided to open up my Gaf gifts before I opened up their gifts. They also gave me weirder look when I told them I was part of an online secret santa. The older folks and my country sisters will never understand the radness of NeoGaf. Oh! Gryphter, they found your wrappings hilarious, I have a few pictures that I may post later of it.
Anyway, back to the presents, the third gift I opened contained "Locke Key." I never heard of this comic before, so I was pretty pumped when I glance through it and discover some rad art. Plus anything Lovecraft-related tends to be awesome. After your comparison to VLR, Persona, and Twin Peaks, I am expecting to have an epic orgasm.
The next gift contained one of the best comics known to man, Watchmen. I read through this during my freshman year of college, which would be four years back (a lot of the themes in Watchmen I ignored back then). I am still stoked that I got this present for a few reasons: Gryphter has quality taste, I lost my copy a few years back during a move, and I really want to reread it to see everything I missed during my first read.
Also Gryphter, I saw the film, but thankfully after reading the source material.
My last gift was heartfelt, especially after reading Gryphter's letter to me, Pixel Blocks. I lack the necessary imagination to really use your former Pixel Blocks, but I will either donate them to a child who is creative, or save them for my possible children. If I keep it for the latter reason, I will force them to make video game characters!

Everyone should see the heartfelt letter that Gryphter wrote to me too. This really elevated the awesomeness of all of his gifts. I am truly appreciative of the research you did to send me kick-ass presents. You truly made my first year of Secret Santa truly awesome.
I hope my Tiny Tim enjoyed his gifts. I sadly lack a proper job at the moment, so I had to compromise on some of his presents, but I think he will dig them. After this groovy year, I will certainly return for the following year. But next time, I will have a full-time job and time to meet the level of Gryphter!
Edit: For the letter, I didn't want to contain Gryphter's real name or signature, so we have a kawaii sun to cover those details up because I don't know how to properly block those other details out!
