That single pic has a lot of references that only the pen and paper people would appreciate (that girl in the ad is named Alt and that is basically a refined version of the art in the actual rulebook (p. 2 and p. 199 of the 2nd edition CP2020 book to be exact).PSY・S;46292007 said:

That trailer was like a limp-wristed handjob from your favorite pornstar. Sure its kinda cool but in the end it just isn't satisfying.
I recently watched all three Robocops. And its pretty much the same thing there. You can buy hearts, arms, pretty much anything. And people are ready to kill anybody or anything and people watching are not even afraid of it.
Its a world where violence is so common that people are "Meh, again? Third time today that somebody get his head blown off!"
Does that seem like something comfortable to wear in bed, to you? My guess is cyber stripper gone mad, or the like.
Also make up and hair.

Someone mentioned that it's a CGi trailer made by another company (can't remember the name but I think it was posted in the other thread).
I am not one to care that much about trailers (even the ones that show a bit of gameplay) but this shows exactly what I am interested in for these kind of games. An extremely interesting universe that you want to explore especially for someone who isn't accustomed to the cyberpunk universe. I have complete faith in CD projekt RED. Canot wait!

In 2015 CD Projeckt will make if not the same, pretty near those kind of graphics, for PC. I dont know why people are saying no.
Its like they havent played the Witcher 2 on a PC on max settings, or seen dennis' screenshots from the screenshot thread lol

Never understood CG only trailers. I know its suppose to be a teaser, but why not just wait for a full trailer, gameplay an all?

The 2015 or beyond release window kind of deflates my enthusiasm for this game right now.
I like how old structures have red support beams.
missed that, I love this attention to detail. I would love to just sit in on CDPR and listen to them design their game.

i liked it. So far ive liked all the CGI stuff theyve done. The Witcher 2 intro with the ship is on another level though.
Seems like she gets rescued at the end. The girl has the same bullet mark on her cheek.

It can render a next gen open game. It will just not look like this (the 8800 is a mid range GPU (depending on the 50 or 70 at the end... 1? 2gigs?) would be unable to render the models, the lights, the post processing of that kind of trailer in an open game)... People think just because it's an 8800Gpu, it will be outstanding the 7800 serie. It will perform better, but it will not be a monstruous gap... Stil a mid range GPU...
Look what the actual high end can do... And what the mid range can do...
Render a FPS or an unchartedlike game is something, render an open world is another. I will not teach you that, if you don't know why it's harder, google it...
One more time if I'm wrong, better for all, but I don't want to have hopes too high for the nextgen consoles, the current was already a semi failure in sone ways.....

BTW for new people coming, is an RPG where you can create your own character. The characters we saw in the trailer are most possibly important NPC's (thats what I mostly think) or types of characters you can create.
Because the game just started development. And they're trying to recruit more talent for the studio.

I own every CP2020 book and almost had the chance to write for the line. I did write for Shadowrun, which is very similar in some concepts. I haven't gone through every frame looking for corp logos and callbacks but I'm sure some fans are
Awesome trailer. The city looks phenomenal with excellent atmosphere. I was really hyped up until I saw the police head gear and overall design. They just look really, really silly to me. Their sleek rounded head gear clashes dramatically with their environment IMO.
The way they look bugs me a lot more than it really should. Their design just seems so, I don't know, comical to me.

I know this was in part a marketing decision but the trailer makes pretty apparent that we are missing a lot of context of her situation and the time skip also makes pretty clear that there is a change of jobs/attitude/apparence.
And gives us the mistery of why a murder bot becomes a cop (beyond reprogramming and repurpose , her "scar" and flashback gives the impression of feeling "guilt")
So... sexuality in context/setting/mood is not exactly a bad thing in my book

First of all - have you noticed all the details in our teaser (yes, it's a teaser. We'll make a proper trailer in the future)? If you know the Cyberpunk setting there are some things you can spot, like implants - look for the weapon hands and the real skin - corporate emblems that should look familiar and more. You're probably curious about the release date. It's currently scheduled a way off in 2015 but in truth the delivery date is more like "when it's done". We will release Cyberpunk to you when we're convinced it is nothing but pure, refined, unadulterated awesome. We want it to be the most kick ass futuristic RPG ever - OK, maybe this sounds pretty bully, but it is our actual goal! You judge if we deliver it!

The short description is that it will be a story-heavy, nonlinear, open world RPG based on the well known Cyberpunk pen&paper system and setting. Building open world games is something we are mastering right now and we believe that properly joining nonlinear gameplay with an excellent story telling will bring a totally new quality. Mmm... And that's not all that's new. We are about the reveal our other project which is much closer to being completed and yes, it will also be a fully open-world game with an intense story. You can probably guess the game we're talking about

Can we make out the story from this trailer perhaps? A special force agent (female) who takes part in the operations that hunts down the bionic groups, knows her fate in becoming one of them for personal reasons. As a newly formed fugitive she is going to be fleeing from her ex-partner in bid to revenge/avenge/eliminate bunch of people.
TLDR: Minority Report with mass murder.

No, the girl is/was a cyberpsycho (loss of empathy caused by too many cybernetic implants, a balance conceit in the original PnP game). The cop is a part of the PsychoSquad detail:

The description on the youtube page talks about how people who overdo implants and augs start to have their body reject its organic material, and then (through some plot-forwarding device) rebel against all organic beings, period. They go psycho and start killing everyone. I'm assuming this girl hit her tipping point while getting ready for bed or something. I doubt she'd be worried about getting dressed for the rest of society when she's about to go on a murderous rampage, and besides, who knows how those clothes feel on metalskin?
It actually looks like the girl joins the "Psycho Squad" which is a little weird because she is a Psycho herself. Maybe they're able to get the implants under control again after her rampage.
