Also watching any MGR footage just makes me feel like they should put in a mode where you are invincible. He looks too powerful and stylish to ever get hit or stagger.

Not liking Raiden's new personality, but the gameplay is balls awesome as usual.

What new personality? That's pretty much raiden. He was mentally surpressed in mgs2 and mgs4 he was more worried about helping snake who he veiws pretty much as his mentor. They didn't really give you a look into his head all that much in mgs4 but yeah by the end of 2 as well with all the other stuff he pretty much reverted back to himself as a child soldier.

I like the black outfit though. I wish they included MGS2 Raiden outfit scheme. MGS4 is close enough to Rising it seems rather pointless. I like his outfit in 2.

Hmm, so at least part human. I know there is probably some story conceit to explain it, but watching somebody graphically eviscerate a bunch of police officers in a game bugs me. And I didn't have a problem with GTA.

It's not like you have to slow-mo cut them up. Also, there will be a non-lethal wooden sword in it (not sure if you can use it from the start). The combat is excellent, and I think it's great touch that you can cut missiles out of the air.
