Who wants to make the OT for this game?
I wouldn't mind making it, but my knoweldge on how the game plays is VERY basic, like, Cr. MKxxEX Hadu, etc. basic.
I could link to the wikia that has the gameplay details like frame data etc. though.
...and if need be I could make it a general Darkstalkers OT/Community thread and have it ready before the game's release.

The Vampire Savior tournament is over, with MightyMar's Anakaris ending Dyne's almost 3 month winning streak. The Vampire Hunter tournament is set to start in 15-20 minutes. If you want to participate, go into the Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge room in GGPO and ask to be signed up.

Now onto announcements.

November 23-24 is the Darkstalkers Combination Cup 7 (DCC7). It is Japan's most prestigious Darkstalkers tourmament, featuring both Vampire Hunter and, the main event, Vampire Savior. Here's a hype video for this year's event.

On the 23rd there will be the All Out War (AOW) 5on5 event. I will post the entrant/teams list closer to the event. The event will start around 13:00 JST/1AM EST/10PM PST

On the 24th, DCC7 officially begins with Vampire Hunter to start the event, and then the Vampire Savior 2on2 to cap it off. Again, I'll post the entrant/teams list closer to the event.

I wonder if it'll be at all possible to incorporate Vampire Hunters stages/music in Vampire Savior and vice versa. I find that the need for a game to be 'arcade perfect' really only comes into play when it comes to the gameplay and desire to stay true to whatever original roster a game had available. Aesthetic things like stage selection and music which do nothing to directly affect gameplay can and should I think be allowed to be expanded on.

I think I had a similar desire when it came to Iron Galaxy's 3S port, phenomenal as it was I wished it had allowed me the ability to jump into the various 2nd Impact stages/OST selection as an additional perk as well. Not sure about the logistics of the request of course just something I thought I'd throw out there.

I was sitting there in the vampire room waiting for a stream when I read that it was Tuesday. Looking forward to this all the same, can't wait for the stream.

Here's something that's been on my mind for a while ... why is Vampire Savior so much more popular than Darkstalkers 2? I guess it's a combination of me caring about really obscure things in a fighting game (stages) and me really enjoying playing Pyron and Donovan but I'm enjoying 2 a lot more than 3 on a casual level. Were the infinites in DS2 the reason it sort of fell off as a competitive fighter after Savior's release?

Not really sure, I think the community naturally progressed to Savior.

The Euro tourney is near an end, with 2 more lower bracket matches to go before the GF.
