X is definitely coming guys, it appeared in the english Direct for a reason, if this wasn't the case Iwata would have not bothered to even acknowledge it, aaaand they're desperate, they'll want to put out as many titles as they can in all regions, so there's that too.

Has any of the games showed in NA/EU Directs not been actually released here in the west? I can't think of any tbh.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct

The Walking Dead game every gamer deserved, but didn't need

It will probably sell a ridiculous amount off the name alone....Which is really a shame. I'd love to see a Walking Dead game with a legitimate budget and effort behind it.

Hmm... anyone wondering if all of these pikmin 3 delays mean anything? We haven't seen it at all since last e3 have we? At least nothing new.

I wouldn't be surprised if Monster and Retro had new games at E3 that then hit in time for the holidays, as Retro did with DKCR (unveiled at E3 2010, out Nov. 2010). I'm sure there will be a number of Q3/Q4 2013 titles shown at E3, as well.

Well some were hoping that they add online multiplayer for Pikmin 3, though it most likely is to refine the game and its visuals.

X is probably just so fucking far off for us that they're not going to include it.

Or, as others have pointed out, it's a mistake. RE:R isn't on the 3rd party list outside Japan either, even though Capcom said it would be. But that's no reason to rule out your theory. Hell, we didn't get Xenoblade for 2 years after it's release. Plus there is the translating for english speakers and what ever else they need to add or subtract so that it fits it's player's region. That all takes a while and while Japan may see "X" this year, we may have to wait until 2014.

In addition to X's US release, Retro Studios' game isn't on the list at all...

I suspect this is just reflecting releases (titles and regions) that have been officially announced. In a vacuum, it doesn't make sense to mention Zelda WiiU on the list and not Retro's game, when the latter will be out 2 years before the former.

Outside of the main Nintendo players, that list is not impressive at all. I wanted to be impressed but it's about in line with my tempered expectations. I can't ask for much more since I've been pretty critical of WiiU but I don't wish it to miss out on all the big games. As the months go by, this feels like a harsh reality that will have to be accepted.

I'm mainly referring to 3rd party support on this as Nintendo games are Nintendo games.

What does "early 2013" mean for Animal Crossing mean if other titles between now and April already have solid release dates? First half of 2012 or is there a chance it will slip in between the other early 2013 titles?

they aren't going to list anything that's not announced and there just hasn't been much announced yet. they're supposed to be having a third-party nintendo direct sometime and i can't imagine they'd be featuring the titles listed here.

I doubt we'll see a lot of 3rd party games for a bit due to most 3rd party games we already being made with the previous 2 consoles in mind. It takes a lot of time and money to do a good port, and honestly, I don't want a lazy port. Hell, IIRC, ken levine made the claim that BSI was coming to the WiiU AFTER the release of the other versions. Of course I could be mistaken.

This should be a pretty good year all things considered. I might buy one this summer.

(I'm aware a few of these won't make it this year, a couple for sure.)

Good list, depending on which of these games they will actually still release in the second half of the year and what still awaits at E3.
