*dies*
Ughhhhhhh need this episode now.

Someone suggested thta if they release another F/Z box set it'll be english dub only. I mean... it wouldn't be the most preposterous thing ever.

Why would they do that? I dont think its first release will be a boxset. Why not do 4 separate 6-7 episode releases at like $50-$60 with some type of poster or soundtrack extras...Just use the same strategy that they used in the US for Godoka Magica.

Can someone explain to me why the animation in this show is so god like? This is was literally the equivalent of an episode of Birdy S2 or something. It had more animation than every single fight in JoJo's combined, and that's not even an exaggeration.

I don't get why there's so much sakuga in this show.

Aaaaah, you've got to episode 12.

The reason this episode is so much like Birdy is because of Ryochimo Sawa. He animated the Karasu/Fukurou fight and was animation director on Birdy.

I don't get why there's so much sakuga in this show.

Because Kazuki Akane cares about action sequences.

Also, this show - and Aquarion, and even Arjuna - were what I thought Satelight was all about - a poor man's Madhouse, allowing people to showcase their individual talents. The fight sequence in this episode was, I believe, Ryochimo's professional debut, having "just" been a GIF animator for many years beforehand (although don't quote me on that, I'm sure he's turned up elsewhere).

If you make it to the end (which I hope you do) I'll be interested to see what you think of Satoru Utsunomiya's episode towards the end.

If it gets delayed I'll work something out!

I feel like I should be super-duper excited about this, but I really don't know what this is saying.

I understand "box" "DVD" and "2013". If this means what I think it means, I think you would have set this thread on fire. Literally. So it probably doesn't.

So today we learn tanktops are cute and idols fall for them. However I must warn you lads that no idol will fall for you if you start wearing a tanktop. I know these things.

That's what I get by posting before reading ANN.

I don't know why I'm so excited about this but I totally am.
Just need to keep chugging away on Sailor moon R and keep the train moving.

For the sake of full disclosure the 'dresden' in those logs isn't me, that's just some other guy with the same nick in a different channel.

Well they are both Kazuki Akane shows...

Akane and Ryo-timo make a good pair.

Turn A Gundam 2
Sochie <3 She's so great as the impotent character early on, ever in Kihel's shadow. Second ep just reinforces how poorly the movie handled things.

I haven't yet actually watched the Turn A movies. Perhaps I will for the sake of completion.

And by the way, if there was a subbed BD Turn A remaster released in Japan I would buy that in a heartbeat.

I saw my name getting dropped in there, but i didn't have anything to do with any of that stuff. (mostly, because i wasn't even aware anime of the year was finished until today and i've been away from gaf for a week due to ban)

I wouldn't and yeah, I'm in the same boat. Not one to buy expensive blurays but I'd make an exception there.

What, I wonder, does he mean by "normalfag"? (Can I say that if I'm just quoting some dumbass on 4chan?)

I also wondered this. According to urbandictionary:

A derogatory term used to insult the antithesis of most internet dwellers. Normalfags are typically people who enjoy mainstream things and live typical, ignorant, mundane lives. Some of the most common normalfag traits are ignorance to internet culture and underground media such as less well known music, anime, or video games.

Erm, thanks?

In summary: Not hipster enough.
