On second thought don't buy Ninja Gaiden Σ2+ unless you like sub-30fps.
At least that's what I'm hearing. I'll confirm once I play it myself.

:(

It's pretty good.

The resolution is crisp, but seems to scale down (either sub native or AA turns off) when battles are hectic.

I've had one instance of slowdown, it was a sharp drop in the village area of the first level, where you come out to china blossom trees.

Overall, I'm quite impressed, especially when the camera pans in for finishing kills.

This is my first experience with NG2, outside of the 360 demo years ago. I'd always wanted to buy it - but held off until (when)I heard vita was having its own version.

The Vita was also my first experience with NG1, as well.

As a first time player of the series I like them both.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
I never got to play them when they first came out and I don't want to go back and play games on my PSP now.

FFFFFFF you, Konami. D:

God... they are so good :( If you are a MGS fan and like turn based combat, I honestly consider these 2 games a REASON to buy a PSP. Thats how good they are :/

Unless they drop the price you probably shouldn't. It's just the PSP ISO making its' way to the Vita store. They didn't add trophies, give it an online mode, or native second analog support. You can change the camera to the second analog stick with Vita's PSP emulator, but still, it's not the same.

Still a step up to it not being available on Vita at all. I am actually tempted as well, because I reeeeeally liked it. Wasnt there an online mode for this game or was it just Local coop?

I'd only buy it if the transfarring worked on Vita.
And it doesn't.

No sale.

10/10 Totos.

It's certainly not MGS3, but I found it to be a fantastic game. Only game on the PSP that might be better is P3P imo.

:|

Peace Walker was pretty much among the best MGS and definitely felt more like a proper MGS than MGS4.

both PW and MGS4 do not feel like proper MGS,they are years and years behind the quality of the original three MGSs,they were like a bad parody.

I'd rather Ac!d 1&2 come to PSN playable on Vita.

Better picks here, way better than Kojima's latest games.

I honestly don't know why Konami keep letting Kojima wasting their money and keep making awful games and engines, dude's talents got expired many years ago.

I'm not really that much into MGS, but the first game on UMD goes for under £5 so I may pick it up one day.

I'm not home yet so I haven't closed the Vita Challenge for the month yet. Just send in what you think is your best time and I'll post the winner in a few hours! The current time in the OP has already been topped.

I'd trade them all for a Borderlands 2. Or an Elder Scrolls/Game. Or Gran Turismo.

It's nice the Vita is getting support from somone, but if I wanted to play indie games, I'd have bought a tablet.

And I'd also suggest that the truer "indie" games are those found on PS Mobile.

We really do need new cards announced soon. Either that or some knock off types made that I can buy of ebay.

I have a few games I am playing now and will replace those with a severe backlog collection one at a time. But I really want a massive card just to have them all on the system at once.

I do wonder still how much different sales of hardware would have been, should we have had MicroSD, SD or some such.

It doesn't look like getting any better, what with Soul Sacrifice and the crap ton of indie titles around the corner.

I'd trade all AAA support away for more big Ingie games like SpaceChem. And you cant control games like Motorstorm RC that tightly on a tablet, thats my reasoning for preferring the Vita over a tablet for example.

However, I can see how other people might prefer AAA games, and I certainly look forward to those as well ;)

Same, been dying to play this game but dont care to play the HD collection version. damn Vitagaf is pretty convincing against this. lol

I'm dancing on the edge at this point. I feel like its going to go onsale sometime soon when nextgen MGS is closer to release.

MUD - FIM Motocross World Championship

This came out today. I guess it's digital only here.
At least they didn't price it $40 like idiots.

Meh, is this your first PS1 Classic not working on Vita immediately after release? It will probably work soon, for some reason it just takes time sometimes (isn't there basically a kind of on/off "switch" that makes PS1 classics playable on Vita? They've probably not just enabled it yet)

Sony feels the need to make Toro known before Friend Network is released in the US.

SCEA/SCEE not using Toro as Playstation mascots since 1999/2000 is beyond me.

even if he got no real games in the west, this freaking cat should've been everywhere and on every Playstation system box.

Maybe SCEA thought that a cute cat associated with the PlayStation would contrast with the "mature" image they were trying to build?
I don't have a clue either.

it's odd that you can toggle between buttons and touch screen controls on plants vs zombies but can't use a combination of the two :/

what's really odd is how the entirety of sony online entertainment's support for vita rests in a single popcap port

Wow this is awesome. Played every Metal Gear game but this. What order does this fit into the series?
->
1.) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (1964)
2.) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (1970)
3.) Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (1974)
4.) Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (?)
5.) Metal Gear Solid 5 (?)
6.) Metal Gear (1995)
7.) Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (1999)
8.) Metal Gear Solid (2005)
9.) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2007- 2009)
10.) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots (2014)
11.) Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (2018)

Dont listen to Toto, you are in for a treat.
