What if tri-Ace is working on this?
Then the gameplay will be amazing? tri-Ace just needs a good writer. Combined with their good gameplay they can make some really good games.

Still alive, eh? Strap in, motherfuckers! Cavia stops pissing around at this point. This final wave demands your eyes and thumbs become one locked entity in-tune with the universe... allowing time and sound to flow through you like a stream.
If you fuck up pretty much any part of this next sequence, you are done.

No...that is not a typo...that is not hyperbole...that is Drakengard... That is a forty-nine sequence of button presses that come out non-stop for thirty seconds and must be hit flawlessly or it's back to the very beginning of the entire mission.
This is the final challenge of Drakengard: A barebones Action Brawler/Aerial Combat game with light RPG elements. A game that has an entire soundtrack that is nothing but chaotic dissonance has a rhythm game for its final challenge...
Nier and drakengard 2 were both shit, color me pessimistic about this.

Holy Mother of God. I really hope the original dev team works on this (I know it's unlikely, though). The first game is still my favorite, mostly because it's the inspiration for the best Let's Play ever posted on the internets and one of the best game OSTs in history.
Cavia should have just had the game crash to a giant, high resolution picture of goatse and formatted your memory card. It'd have about the same impact as going through all that bullshit to get this.

No Nobuyoshi Sano & Takayuki Aihara as composers?
Well, the roles don't necessarily mean the same thing across companies, plus if he writes the story itself even if he doesn't direct scenes or whatever I think we'll be fine.Creative director? That's the same position that Suda51 has been taking...
Still won't (likely) be the same.Well, the roles don't necessarily mean the same thing across companies, plus if he writes the story itself even if he doesn't direct scenes or whatever I think we'll be fine.
If he's writing without Sawako Natori or Kikuchi Hana, I'm a bit worried. Sawako in particular was important for both Drakengard and Nier. The same guy says Yoko Taro is writing the scenario too. So I guess that's that.

Okabe doesn't work alone and they contributed to the Nier tribute album, so it's not entirely impossible. Clearly Okabe is in charge though.

Is there anyway to play the uncensored, Japanese version of Drakenguard with English subtitles? Always wanted to play the game but I heard it had been butchered for the English release.
Oh boy oh boy if this is a.Nier prequel
