Compile Heart’s Date A Live game subtitled Rinne Utopia

Compile Heart’s Date A Live game for PlayStation 3 is a spirit capture adventure game called Date A Live: Rinne Utopia due out this summer in Japan.

One of the game’s new characters is named Sonogami Rinne (voiced by Kana Hanazawa). It’s possible she is the girl from the recently launched teaser site.

Date A Live includes a large number of original date scenes from the original author Tachibana Koshi. Text and event CG are said to be complete reproductions.

The information comes from a magazine leak, though I’m not sure which one. According to the source, there are no screenshots that show what the game’s system looks like. But there is CG image of one character taking off their uniform, though.

"Rinne Utopia" makes it sound like Rinne's the MC and she has to amass a harem of the other girls. I would import the shit out of that even if it was text heavy.

Well most of the girls are spirits, so it'd be an adventure game where you have to... uh... 'capture' them. In the dating sim sense of the word most likely, rather than the Ghostbusters' sense.

Also Kana Hanazawa, fuck yes, etc.

It's still a Utopia as far as I'm concerned. Character list isn't hugely surprising, though I feel kinda bad for the volume 5/6 characters at this point since they're getting left out of everything.

Parts of them are. I think vols 1-3 are fully done and 4-5 are partially. Vol 6 only came out around Christmas. I haven't actually read any of them properly because I'd rather wait for the anime / manga.

Yeah, I checked B-T and up to Vol.4 Chapter 7. I'll probably give it a read after the anime.

I am preoccupied with reading Index because they refuse to release a season 3.

Website update, including Kurumi CG! And of course it'd be the only one there I can't post. I'm pretty sure that's the only time I've seen Tsunako art of her looking so discomposed. Anyway, I'll settle for posting her costume update, since it's the same outfit.

Another website update! The game now has a release date of June 27. Other than that, the only addition of any note was a few more (non-Kurumi) CGs:

Well, I found confirmation of what type of game it is, though from here as opposed to from the official site.

The CGs implied it, but it's effectively confirmed as being an ADV / visual novel. This means there's minimal chance of seeing in the West, which is a tragedy. What's more, the language barrier is going to make it virtually impossible for me to justify an import purchase, irrespective of the prospect of it having a Kurumi rou--

Just had a meeting with Sting and he pitched me a game based on his hit song Fields of Gold. He said it would be a take on Harvest Moon but with Fields...of Gold. A Sting avatar would pop up giving advice to the player such as "you don't have to put on the red light" when growing your crops and "Confront your enemies, avoid them when you can. A gentleman will walk but never run" in battles, and other pieces of advice based solely on his many hit songs. Kickstarter to be up by the end of the day.
