At least some of this material for the new season is pulled from side content as opposed to the main series novels - episode 2, for example, I gather is based on an audio drama as opposed to one of the main novels. That probably explains at least some of the lack of forward momentum this last couple of weeks, but I'd imagine they'll have to get back to the main plot shortly.

OK, that makes a lot of sense. Cheers!
Maybe they are trying to establish more backstory to hit us with more fun stuff in the future.

Kirino goes full on Lesbo in one of the girls

Things happen, and happen as linear storyline. This season, they have to find reasons to bring out their friendships. Kyusuke forced to play that Vita game which connects him to that Blue heired girl felt just a filler

Kirino has Kyou play a game connected to her hobby (since Season 1), Ayase goes to Kyou for help to get closer to Kirino (since Season 1), Hi-jinks ensue.

Still not seeing the "out-of-the-blue" here.

Ep. 3rd Ep was backstory, why?

Narag has answered this preemptively.

I don't think s2 is forced, just that characters are established and aren't bring subverted constantly as in the first.

Saori is an established character and the show decides to approach her season introduction (not counting the five seconds from S2 Ep 1) in a more accented manner as a minor character than in the first season. Now whether you liked the shift or not is a personal issue, but it's not unheard of.

Meh, it was a great Ep...

It was easily the worst episode in the first season.

Better than any of the Eps so far.

.
It went on for more than it should. Nothing out of blue untill it just felt like a Hi-jinks done in an totally unneccessary way. In the first seaosn everything created a knowck on effect, what did this create, nothing!

Forced onto a cruise ship where if they lose could potentially mean losing their life? Man if 999 was more like this maybe it wouldn't have bored me tears (actually what it really needed was text speed faster than a crippled tortoise). Love the artstyle since it's so, hm, uniquely ugly.

I wish my life was narrated by Admiral Akainu.

Aah, I didn't know the bold.
And I also suspect a main line of events will start soon.

I'm not picking up the "knock-on" effect Ayase's venture in Season 1 led to.

You still haven't explained properly why any of the episodes thus far are worse. Hell, you said you barely even remember the first season and made claims that every episode was better than those so far inseason 2. You should back up your claims since you're certain. You haven't given reason to even consider your position in the slightest, at least for the first one if not this one.

Everything feels forced... Scratch that, everything about the new season so far feels like filler. How hard is that to understand?
Granted, my writing can be confusing and all,
but I just said that their character interaction feels forced artificially as opposed to a situational hijinks which forces the characters to interact.

First season: Things happened, people were involved
This Season: Things must happen in order for people to be involved

No Spell check makes things difficult :/

I really liked it as her story is such a contrast to Kirino's, her nurturing the kirino/kyou sibling relationship makes much more sense now, and she's probably the most genuine of all the characters.

This still isn't answering my question.

How are the set-ups in season 2 any more contrived than the first? Simply because there isn't a linear storyline backing them up? I'm not picking up this "forced" notion.

Indeed and agreed.
Saori has been my favorite character in Oreimo since the first season and the episode only reinforced that fondness.

I honestly don't know how to answer you.

It feels that there is no progression and nothing happens in the new series. It is more contrived as they keep on introducing back stories and situations that makes them interact. I guess the first series was more organic in its contrived situations.

Now that might be a bit of a stretch. There aren't many ways for a giant to hold someone.

Absolutely, however I would note that that's a shot that wasn't in the manga, just like the arrangement of the kids on the stairs. #Believe

Dear lord, no.
I was so happy when (Code Geass R2 spoilers)
he finally was killed. SO HAPPY. Shirley didn't deserve to be killed by him...
You have no idea.

I was doubly angry with Rolo because I kept getting the bad ending in Lost Colors (PS2) where he kills me, over and over again. And the way the text skip worked in that game, in order to register the text as "viewed," you have to save an ending clear file and restart the game from the beginning from that file. So here I am near the end of a route and of course I don't want to start all over until I get the real ending in this section, but I keep winding up getting stabbed by Rolo, and then reloading the save near the end to try something else, so there's no text skip available because I haven't restarted from the beginning yet, so I'm manually punching text-advance over and over as I get stabbed yet again. I came to really hate that kid.

Your not pulling my legs, are you?

FYI, I thought the first was dum and stupid, but I am not gonna lie, I did, sort of, enjoy it.

You'll love R2 then. Someone hook a guy up with the amp being turned to 11 from Spinal Tap for illustrative purposes.

Code Geass Rewatch 3-4

I forgot about that one scene that was censored when it aired on Adult Swim. Hilariously that S1 is much more.... liberal than S2 in this regard. Also, episode 4 was pretty lulz.
Yeah S1 was late-night and then R2 was moved to Sunday evening.
R2 did have some extra blood and violence on the home video release but no more topless women unfortunately. (Well, other than a nude C.C. in R2 ep 1 obfuscated by inverted colors.) I'll always suspect the time slot change robbed me of a nude Shirley. :(

You forgot some important stuff:

-Trigger has no say in determining if a Panty & Stocking sequel ever exists; that's Gainax's choice.
-The staff always had a genuine interest in expanding Little Witch Academia; the producer said that they couldn't tell everything they wanted to tell in 26 minutes and that they have many more stories for the world. If the project is popular, they would love to be able to do a TV series or whatever.
Oh. Mah. Gawd.

Before I say any more, do you remember if there was a jump in video quality beginning with episode thirteen?
I'm in episode twelve.
I'm pretty sure that they're taken from old, internal-use VHS copies that Toei found in a cupboard somewhere - they used to be up on Funimations video portal for a while as well (pre-One Piece-gate and them completely re-engineering it). They looked pretty terrible there, too.

I gather that Toei actually have all their Precure output subtitled internally for use in sales and by their partner agencies, but, alas, the more recent series have never seen the light of day officially.
Fucking Toei.

In this episode we get to meet the rest of the cast, I noticed that Rio is voiced by Yu Kobayashi pretty nice voice overall! Noel is pretty cute also and I actually like the cast so far, the whole Junior-senior relationship with the privates was pretty cool! Dat Tsun
So this is set in some sort of post-apocalyptic world or something? Setting is kinda weird
audio design was pretty cool in this episode also, got the creepy atmosphere across quite well. FUCK THAT THING

Licensing news catchup:

- As easily predicted, Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Bride goes to Sentai Filmworks.

- In a slightly less expected move, Maiden Japan proves they want everything that has to do with old-school police mecha by license rescuing the New Dominion Tank Police OVA.

New Dominion is fun to watch as an exercise in spotting the Ghost in the Shell references - they repurposed a lot of random design elements from the manga. It's pretty amusing if you're into that kind of thing. Should be sporting the old UK dub (aka the best kind of dub) on this release, too!

Rebuild isn't that bad, but nostalgia and sakuga-mania goggle are too strong for many :(
I like Rebuild more than Eva in halfway, how its handle the end-game are the question mark though.

EDIT : That preview does look like shit lawl
But maybe that far from finished CG work.
